breasts, his thick moan setting her on fire. With the top off, she began working the skirt down over her hips, leaving the lacy white barely panties in place. Once done, she knelt on the bed before him, letting him get his fill of looking.
Micah stroked himself, his gaze all over her, devouring, muscles rippling in his arms and chest with his urgency.
Sarah slowly laid back on the bed and worked her panties off then opened for him, moving her hips in erotic invitation.
He answered, c rawling toward her from the foot of the bed until his eyes were level with hers and his hot body nestled perfectly between her legs.
He closed his eyes, seeming to just glory in that feeling of the two of them finally touching that way. “Sarah,” he gasped.
She stroked his brow, loving how bold and beautiful it was. “Micah,” she answered.
“ You have to know…that I lied about me and Lisa. I was jealous and angry and wanted you so badly.”
Relief and joy surged in Sarah at hearing that. She kissed him. “Oh God, I nearly died inside. But I knew you were hurting.”
“ I need to know, I need to hear you say it. Before I do this with you, I have to hear it.”
“What? What do you need?” She searched his face. “I love you. I love you more than I can understand.”
He kissed her with a dizzying passion then finally pulled up, his lips still on hers. “I know you do. I’ve never doubted that.” He nibbled at her lips tenderly. “I need to know how much.”
“With all my heart,” she gasped.
“And all your soul?” he croaked at her ear.
She wrapped her legs around his waist and grabbed his face, kissing him. “I do, yes, I do. With all my heart, mind and soul.”
“Oh fuck,” he gasped, his kisses turning hungry, demanding, working down her neck . “I knew you did,” he moaned. “I never doubted for a second that you were mine.” He moved back to her mouth, reaching between them and putting himself at her entrance. She gasped at the promise of utter fullness and ecstasy of having him finally inside her.
He muttered words she didn’t understand on her neck and she smiled, finding it endearing and romantic. “What are you saying? Is that Latin?”
He whispered them in her ear next and she moaned. “Tell me.”
He licked hard up her neck, then bit lightly with the promise of passion along her jaw. “God has lost. And I have won. You are mine.” He kissed her, pushing himself into her a little.
She cried out at the feeling, dizzy and…confused. “What does that mean, I don’t understand,” she gasped.
He bit her shoulder again with a deep groan, his body shuddering and his desire pulsing inside her entrance. “You gave me your soul.”

Chapter Twelve

S arah furrowed her brows, not wanting him to get the wrong idea. She almost ignored it, but it seemed like it meant the world to him and she didn’t want to hurt him. “Sweetie, I can’t give you my soul, but my heart and mind are yours.”
H is body froze. He remained unmoving with his head on her shoulder. “What?”
Fear seized Sarah at the sound of utter shock in his tone. Devastation. She suddenly realized all at once that she’d just hit upon another nightmare door. One that opened into a horror chamber he’d not yet shown her. “Micah?”
Without moving he whispered, his tone hoarse. “You just . Told me. You loved me. With. Your. Soul.”
Sarah felt the tremble taking over his body. “Micah…you’re scaring me,” she barely whispered.
He jerked back and flew off the bed and paced, holding his head with both hands. “You lied?”
The tease of a mental break down laced those two words and she sat up. “No, I didn’t lie, I just—“
He spun and roared, “You told me!”
Sarah jump ed and move back on the bed.
He paced some more , shaking his head. “Why would you say something like that and not! Mean it!” He yelled the words but didn’t aim them at her.
Tears gathered in Sarah’s eyes and she choked on a
