Night After Night
so erotic she felt it all the way down to her core. She squirmed on his lap, opened her legs wider, and rocked shamelessly against the thick, hard length of him.
In response, he drove his hips against hers, increasing the pressure and friction, but it wasn’t enough to give her what she ultimately desired.
She whimpered her frustration, and as if knowing exactly what her body clamored for, he dropped a hand to her thigh. The contact seared her skin and made her sex clench with the need to feel him touching her, stroking her…right there, she thought, and shuddered when his fingers slid beneath the lace edge of her panties and his thumb found her slick flesh.
Her head fell back, and she shifted just enough to give him the room he needed to slide first one finger, then two, deep inside her and begin a lazy thrusting motion. She tightened around him, and he gave an encouraging groan.
If that weren’t enough to unravel her completely, he pulled a nipple into his mouth and sucked hard. From her breast to her belly, and lower, every sensation threatened to collide inside her.
It was too much…yet not enough.
Tunneling her fingers into his hair, she forced his mouth back to hers, her damp breasts puckering even more from the cool night air. She kissed him as deeply and greedily as the fingers penetrating her. He stroked her clitoris, mixing ecstasy with madness until she was tense and trembling and rushing headlong into a devastating climax.
When the tremors finally subsided, she collapsed against him, shuddering one last time as he removed his fingers from inside her.
Still trying to catch her breath, she buried her face against his neck, closed her eyes, and inhaled the warm, enticing scent lingering on his skin—a combination of sandalwood and aroused male.
While she recovered, he caressed one hand up and down her back while the other threaded through her hair. The moment was so tender and romantic. So caring, in a way that was dangerous to her heart and emotions.
“That was nice, and incredibly sexy,” he whispered against her ear.
“Nice?” She lifted her head and gave him an incredulous look. “More like spectacular.”
“Good to know.” Smiling, he smoothed her hair from her face, then readjusted her bra and the top portion of her dress, making her presentable again. “Next time, we’ll strive for phenomenal.”
Next time. Already, he was counting on seeing her again, and while a few days ago she might have made excuses as to all the reasons why she didn’t have the time to date anyone seriously, she knew it was futile to try to stonewall what was happening between them. Quicker than she ever could have believed, her feelings for Sean were developing into something more than those of just a business association or a casual relationship.
It had been a long while since she’d trusted a man, but maybe it was time to open herself up to the possibility again. To have a little faith in her feelings and her judgment of Sean as a person. As an honorable, worthwhile man who wouldn’t lie to her, or betray her as her ex-fiancé, Ian Croft, had done.
Despite all the reasons for her not to dive headlong into a relationship, she was already falling hard and fast for Sean. To the point that she was too far gone to turn back now. And she honestly didn’t want to. So, instead, she decided to embrace the warm glow of infatuation spreading through her and see where it led.
“What are you smiling about?” Sean asked.
She sighed contentedly, though she wasn’t quite ready to share her newfound feelings with him just yet. “After what we just did, you have to ask?”
He chuckled. “You have a point.”
As much as she hated to end their idyllic time together, she knew they needed to head back to the nightclub before they were missed. “You ready to go?”
“No.” He skimmed his thumb along her jaw in a gentle caress. “I’d rather stay right here with you and not share you with anyone.”
