privacy and she pleaded with everyone to keep her name and face out of the public eye. A month after the find was categorized and the faces were revealed. Lara and her team’s faces were splashed all over the Cairo news and all over the world. Complete with Cleopatra’s and Antony’s images right by their side. She couldn’t complain too much about it seeing as all of the publicity did provide free advertising to attain more freelance digs and lectures.
Eion decided to bring her back to reality and waved a hand over her face. She blinked and returned back from memory lane.
    “Daydreaming, my lady?” he asked
“Sorry. Yes, of a different time and realm. I’ll tell you the story sometime when this is all over. So, the dagger?” she said and reached down to find it wasn’t by her side and in Eion’s hands.
“It looks like the pictures of the dagger that Badb used in battle.” he held up the dagger and took it out of the metal sheath it was in and examined the blade.
“I believe this is her dagger.” he said
Lara moved closer to Eion and looked at the blade. “Are you sure? How in the world would it have ended up on a site in Egypt? That’s a far cry from Ireland.”
“That is a mystery. See the very faint inscriptions, here?” he pointed at some markings along the bottom of the blade which faintly moved up the center.
Lara squinted her eyes and the inscriptions came into focus. “Yes.”
“The spell magically alters the blade. On the other side the inscriptions read that only a female descendant worthy of Badb can wield the dagger.” He ran his finger over the hilt.
“It even has the delicate raven carved into it with a ruby for an eye and wings on the hilt. The same as the historians scrolls.” He started tapping the hilt as if looking for something.
“I still don’t understand how the dagger ended up in Egypt.” Lara said as she covered a yawn.
“The Danann did go through the portal with next to nothing. It is possible that after Badb turned into a banshee it was taken and sold. That is mere speculation however the important thing is that you have it.”
Lara looked at it and wondered why she just assumed it was the Egyptian falcon symbol of Ra. No wonder the curator was ok with giving it to her as a gift when she offered to buy it. It wasn’t even Egyptian.
“It’s funny.” she said taking the dagger from Eion and looked it over. “How you assume something and just believe it instead of seeing what it really is.”
“May I see it again? I am curious about something” Eion asked and she handed it back to him.
“During a battle Badb used two blades. In the scrolls it depicts her holding one and at some times two. I always thought that she had three. See how the blade seems thicker than a normal one?”
Eion ran his finger under the hilt. “Ah Ha! Here it is.” He pushed on a ruby under the hilt and the blade smoothly slid into two separate daggers.
“OhmiGosh. What are the odds?” Lara said.
“The daggers reminded me of something that I left here for safe keeping.” He tapped his chin. “Problem is I cannot remember which corner of the cave I put it in.”
Eion grabbed his Lapisphere out of his cloak. He whispered something and it started to glow. Lara saw the mist come out again.
“This way, my Lady.” Eion said as he took her hand and helped her up. He led her beside the glowing mist over to a corner of the cave where it formed into a small Celtic knot work web. In the web she saw an outline of what looked like a square box.
“Druids web is not only for trapping Druids. You can use it to hide things too. I did not wish to bring these through and possibly loose them.” Eion smiled a sly smile at her.
He bent over saying a few words and the web faded. A box dropped into his hands as he straightened back up and headed back over to the fire. Lara followed and sat down beside him.
Eion handed the box to Lara. “I was planning on presenting you this box after
