Wings of Love
costs.  While on
the power play in the second period Joey took the puck behind the
Rangers net, moving fast along the boards he shot the puck and
ricochet it off the goaltender scoring the first goal of the
game!
Adam and Amy jumped up and loudly applauded
for him.  Joey skated around a moment raising his stick
over his head.  He blew Angie a kiss as he skated
by.
“Great shot!”  Angie yelled as he
went past.  “That’s my man!”  Angie gave Janet
a high five.
After the second period they all munched on
hot dogs, and pizza while they drank a few beers, getting into the
excitement of the game.
“There’s Joey.”  Amy wave at him as
he zoomed by a blur of red and white.
Close to the end of the third period, Bob had
the puck and headed toward the offensive zone when he was checked
from behind sending him violently to the boards.  He
threw his gloves off and skated toward the
opponent.  Joey skated alongside Bob, making sure he had
his back.  Bob grabbed the culprit by the jersey, threw
one punch then another knocking him down on the ice.
The referee signaled penalties on both
teams.  Bob sat in the penalty box, hopping over the
boards as soon as his time expired.  Again the Blades had
the puck the center passed it to Joey as he sped down the ice
shooting it to Bob.  He took the puck again into the
offensive zone and fired a shot from the face off circle past the
Rangers goaltender to help the Motor City Blades win the game
2-1!

    The black limousine crawled along
47th Street at a snail’s pace, although none of the passengers
seemed to care or be in a hurry.
“Who wants another drink,” hollered Bob over
the radio that played  Cold As Ice  by
Foreigner.   “I’m buying!”  Bob took a
drag of the cigar that was hanging out of his mouth.
“Thanks Bob.”  Angie said as she
took a drink.  “That was an awesome idea to get a
limo.”
    “Ready to boogie tonight?”  Joey
checked out his woman in her hot pants and skin tight spandex top,
as he puffed on his stogie and raised his eyebrows in
question.  Angie swung her long lean leg nodding her head
in agreement as she whispered something in his ear.
“Let’s all do a shot,” Adam
suggested.  He was having a good time partying with all
of them tonight.  He sat next to Amy who was looking
sexier than ever in her black plunging halter
jumpsuit.  He lit the cigar Bob had just passed him then
reached for the two shots, handing one to Amy.
“To hockey,” Bob filled his glass with the
last of the bottle then raised it upward.  “And good
friends.”
They all tinged their glasses before slamming
down their shots.  By the time the limousine arrived at
the Copacabana Club they were feeling no pain and ready to put on
their boogie shoes.
Adam grabbed Amy’s hand as they strolled into
the club, followed closely by Bob, Joey and Angie.  The
crowd of people displayed all the latest disco fashions including
but not limited to, three piece leisure suits, sequined outfits and
glittered platform shoes in every color imaginable.
“I feel a little out of
place.”  Amy snickered in Adam’s ear as a guy just passed
by with a heavy gold chain that dipped down to the middle of his
chest where his wild disco shirt began.
“I never thought I’d be caught in a disco,”
Adam agreed.  “But if I ever wear something like that you
have my permission to just walk away.  Better yet I would
suggest running like hell.”  He laughed with Amy as they
found themselves on the multi-colored dance floor.
The bright lights seemed to change colors
when the rhythm of the music did.  They clapped their
hands and were dancing to Car Wash  by Roll Royce
when Adam noticed Janet and Peter dancing across from them. He
pointed them out to Amy leading her over that way for them to meet
up.
The girls jumped up and down with excitement
when  The Hustle  came on.  Adam paid
close attention as Amy tried
