started to unbutton his shirt, but he stopped her.
Hand covering her fingers, he said, “We don’t have to go any further. I swear I only intended to chat when I brought you here.”
She nodded briefly. “That’s sweet, but I might not be able to walk if I don’t get some relief,” she countered. They were both breathing hard.
He laughed. Nudging his granite-hard cock against her pussy lips, he said, “I find I’m in the same state, but I don’t want to push you into anything too fast. Because I’m not looking for a quickie or a single night of pleasure. Regardless of what happens tonight, I’ll want more from you at a later date.”
Emma Rae took a deep breath and released it slowly in an effort to calm her racing heart. Luke shoved his hands behind his head and watched her with a smile shaping his luscious lips. She could kiss him all night long. He already wanted her more than just for one night.
“I won’t have regrets. I promise.” Her only regret at all was that Zeke wasn’t here with them.
    “Trust me, I won’t either.”
And then a stray thought occurred to her. “Wait. Will Zeke be upset if we—”
“No. He won’t. Just like I wouldn’t be the least bit worried if you and Zeke were here alone making each other happy.”
“Are you sure? I’m not used to the idea of two men vying for the same woman but not insanely jealous of each other. Perhaps I need a further tutorial on how this unusual lifestyle works.”
He started talking in a low, sexy, steady voice. “Our biggest worry always is that the woman we are vying for doesn’t feel the same way about us equally. You have to want both of us. We’re a package deal. You get that part, right?”
“Yes. Right. I understand. Not a problem.” She rubbed herself across his hard cock. “I have strong feelings for both of you. And I’m not used to it quite yet.”
The ardent mood which had brought them into the bedroom was now broken for her. Emma Rae lifted herself away from Luke. It was difficult, but she realized that she probably shouldn’t be fucking Zeke’s best friend while he was still in the hospital with an uncertain future. Even if he had opened his eyes, it wasn’t like he’d come all the way awake. There was still question about his recovery.
“You’re worried about Zeke.” It was a statement, not a question, so he understood her sudden reluctance. He sat up on the bed and stared down into her eyes.
    “Yes. A little bit.”
A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. “Me, too. Even though it might not have exactly shone through during our lengthy and extremely amazing lip-lock from moments ago.”
“Intense feelings often come out more easily during crisis.” Emma Rae slid off the edge of the bed and stood up. Luke stood as well. “I should probably get home.”
“You don’t have to leave. I know it’s been a long day for you.”
“Yes.” She gazed longingly at the bed. Would she have felt bad if they’d fucked each other like crazy? She didn’t know the answer.
“Why don’t you stay here for the night? There’s plenty of space.”
She glanced around. “I like this room.”
“It’s yours. I’ll go sleep in the den.”
Shaking her head, Emma Rae said, “I don’t want to kick you out of your bed.”
“You could join me in it. I promise not to bother you.”
“Oh, yeah?” She crossed her arms. “And what happens if I bother you?”
He grinned and said, “Then my master plan to lure you into explicit sexual fantasies until you take what you want from me will have worked perfectly.”
She laughed out loud. A sincere belly laugh of long-held-in humor. Not many people could surprise her as first Zeke and then Luke had.
“Okay. I’ll stay. Which side of the bed do I get to have?”
    “Lady’s choice.”
She glanced over her shoulder. “It’s a really big bed. I could probably sleep in the center and never feel you move.”
“Possibly.” His arms crossed loosely over his torso.
