He then walked over to Draylon; he was still alive, but barely. He put his hand to Draylonâs head to read his thoughts, and then released. He said aloud âSo you want to be a saviour of humanity eh? Pathetic!â He then picked up a rock that was close by, and manipulating matter he turned it into a jagged crown. He placed it on Draylonâs head and then punched at it with all his strength. The crown cracked Draylonâs skull and blood started to flow freely. He then kept punching his head, right hook, left hook, over and over and over again, his face was a bloody mess. Draylonâs pulse stopped. The hybrid continued to hit him harder and harder. He then stood and kicked him repeatedly in the chest. He then manipulated matter and created a grave; he kicked Draylon in and laughed out loud. He resealed the grave, spat on it, and then made his way back to his craft, and then all three craft left.
All was quiet, the day wore on and nightfall approached. The temperature dropped, Adriana was still unconscious and Draylon was dead.
Chapter Four â Perception
It was Friday 18th February. Paul was in his front room thinking of Draylon and Adriana. He was glad that Draylon had rung him today, but saddened by the news that he still hadnât found Adriana. It really had been a whirlwind of a year so far and Paul wished that things would pause just for a second. It was getting late; Paul yawned, finished off his cup of tea and decided it was time for bed. Paul started to stand and at that second his head pounded, his legs buckled, and he collapsed on his sofa, images flooded before his eyes. Then it stopped. Paul opened his eyes and gasped, he said out loud âDraylon!â
Paul sat in shock at this revelation. He assumed that when Draylon had brought him back from the dead, he must have inherited the ability of being able to perceive events. To what extent he did not know yet, but it worried him, because he had just witnessed Draylonâs death. He tried to call Draylon on his mobile but was unable to connect, he feared the worst. There was nothing that Paul could do, and it upset him. He made his way to his bedroom, and hoped that when he awoke things would be clearer.
It was Saturday 19th February. Paul awoke early, and decided to take a long walk across the island to Ahu Tongariki. He grabbed a bite to eat and set off on his journey. He felt more lonely now than he had for a very long time, everyone he cared for were disappearing. After several hours he arrived at the site of the fifteen Moai statues. He sat down and stared at the proud faces of the Moai for many hours, contemplating, waiting, and hoping. As the day wore on, Paul just sat there in a trance without the energy or desire to move.
Chapter Five â Exhumed
It was Friday the 18th of February, almost midnight. All was dark. Adriana was still unconscious, Draylon buried. A beam of white light appeared on the horizon, and it came closer and closer, then gently hovered above Adriana. It was a saucer similar to that of the greys, only bigger. The white lights reflected off the shiny metallic surface and the canyon lit up with the brightness of the craft. It lowered slowly to the ground and the door opened beneath.
It was a pale green alien, almost identical to that of the greys but for the colour. It was just over four feet tall, large head and eyes, very long arms with four fingers on each hand. The alien was followed by another two, and they made their way towards Adriana. The one leading signalled the other two to take Adriana on board, whilst he stood at the point Draylon was buried. He raised up his hands and manipulated matter to exhume Draylon from his grave. He reached in and carefully picked up Draylon, sadness in his eyes. He carried Draylon up into the craft and the door closed behind. The craft started to lift and gently revolve, then shot up into the night sky with a flash of white light like a comet.
