on a raised metallic table. The three pale green aliens all closed their eyes, held out their hands and focused. Many minutes went by and Draylon’s body started to warm, more minutes went by and the wounds started to heal. And then Draylon’s eyes started to open, his piercing blue eyes looking at the pale greens inquisitively.
Draylon struggled to speak, “I thought you were extinct?”
One of the aliens leaned in towards him and said telepathically, “We thought you extinct too,” with a smile.
â€œWhere’s Adriana? Is she ok?” Draylon tried to get up.
The pale green that appeared to be in charge gestured to Draylon to rest, “She is ok. We thought it best we keep her gently sedated, we feel this would all be too traumatic for her.”
    â€œThank you!” Draylon paused. “I died didn’t I?”
â€œYes you did, as it was foretold. But now you live, the legend begins.”
â€œIs everything foretold? Can I not change anything?”
â€œWe know little else now. Only that you are here for a reason, a saviour of Earth, our legacy.” The pale green leader placed his hand on Draylon’s head, “Rest now.”
Draylon fell asleep in an instant and slept for many hours. When he awoke the pale green leader introduced himself as Brandlin, he told Draylon that just over ten thousand escaped the slaughter on his home planet. He said that they had found another hospitable planet in their galaxy, and are starting to repopulate. He explained to Draylon that after his beating at the hands of Draykon, many of his powers will be lost, at least for now, and it could take a while for them to return.
It was getting late on Saturday 19th February. Brandlin said that he would drop Adriana off near her home on Easter Island whilst still mildly sedated, and then drop Draylon off near his abode. He told Draylon to be careful, get his strength up, and don’t do anything foolish. Just before drop off he bid Draylon a very fond farewell, Draylon thanked him and said that he would never forget what he had done for him.
Paul received a phone call just after 11 p.m. It was Angelica, she practically shouted down the phone, “Adriana has been found not far from our home, she’s going to be OK!” Paul couldn’t believe it, he was overjoyed, and he started to run. He hoped that Draylon was back too, so he never stopped running until he arrived home.
All was dark in his flat and nobody appeared to be there. He felt a pang of sadness. He switched on the light and almost jumped out of his skin, Draylon was asleep on the sofa. He went over to him and gently shook him, Draylon awoke.
â€œHello my friend, how have you been?” said Draylon in a sleepy tone.
â€œI’ve been fine. You found Adriana, she’s home safe,” said Paul trying to contain his excitement at having both of his friends back.
â€œIt wasn’t easy, and it’s a long story. I am so tired, would you mind if we spoke in the morning?”
â€œNo problem, good night, good to have you back.” Paul clapped Draylon’s shoulder, switched off the light and then made his way to his room. He was exhausted also and it had been a long day. He made a quick phone call to Angelica to let her know Draylon was also home safely and then went to bed.

Chapter Six – Convalesce
It was Sunday the 20th of February at seven a.m. Draylon awoke early eager to find out the extent of the damage to his health, he hoped only temporary. He got dressed into his blue jeans, grey T-shirt and trainers and left the flat. He started at a steady jog for his first mile and was shocked to notice his chest felt restricted and he was starting to wheeze. He battled through the sensation, but came to a stop a short while later struggling for air. Draylon felt really upset at this revelation, he had always been super fit and when he got his powers he became almost invulnerable with terrific
