Bone stood next to him a look just as grim on his face.
“Let’s talk.” He said. Ratchet sighed, fuck. He wasn’t going to be able to follow Mia. She’d just waltzed away with Racheal after he’d saved her ass back at the city. That was gratitude for you. How dare she just walk away?
As he watched her retreating form, he almost growled in displeasure. She turned looking at him over her shoulder. Fuck, he thought as he followed Bone and Tank into Bone’s office. Ratchet was sitting in the chair across from Bone’s desk when Tank suddenly asked, “Where’s your cut?”
That was when he realized that although he never let his cut out of his sight, he’d just let Mia wear it as she’d waltzed away with Racheal. Fuck, he was really screwed, he thought. Because if he’d let her walk away with his cut he was already way too attached to her.
“Mia was wearing it over her bra. That’s why I was bringing her inside. To get it back.” He told the other man.
“What I want to know is what you’d planned to do today? That gate was crawling with guards. We didn’t have enough men to handle that. Were you planning to kill them all to get to Mia? Are you patching her? Is that what this is about?” Bone demanded.
    “Fuck no!” Ratchet told him.
“That might not be the answer you want to give me. See I am sure that I told you to stand down at that gate, and the only way I could be okay with the direct defiance that you were about to engage in is if she was yours. Otherwise, this is going to need some explanation.” Bone said slamming his fist down on the table.
“Fine, I don’t know what the fuck this is. I just know I want to keep her safe. Fuck I don’t know.” Ratchet finally said after Bone glared at him for about three minutes.
Bone’s phone rang and he answered it on the third ring.
“What’s up, baby.” Bone asked turning his chair away from Ratchet. His voice taking on that soft tone it always did for Molly.
“Okay, so you’re going over there with them.” There was a pause then. “Yeah, that’s fine. I have stuff that I need to handle….Tomorrow” The man said after another pause. Then he whispered. “Love you too, babe,” before he hung up.
“Molly says your girl’s staying with Pearl and Bear.” He told him making Ratchet snarl in angry disagreement.
“The fuck she is! She’s coming back to the farm with me.” Ratchet burst out angrily.
“That isn’t going to happen unless she agrees to it. If you can convince her to stay with you instead of Bear and Pearl then fine, otherwise deal with it.” Bone snarled back at him.
“No, I fucking saved her. She needs to come with me I can protect her.” He roared standing now, glaring daggers at Bone who watched him silently.
“Not going to say this again. Ratchet, you don’t own that little girl. She’s safe. You know she is. If that’s all you’re worried about stay at the clubhouse for a few days to be sure, but know this. I am not in the habit of forcing any woman to live with a man she doesn’t want to live with and nobody in this club will be taking a woman who isn’t fully willing to go with them anywhere. Make no mistake. We will protect her from you if it becomes necessary.” Bone stood and he was leaning forward into Ratchet’s face as he said this.
“I wouldn’t force her.” He grumbled sitting back in his chair with a sigh. Fuck, what made the man think he was going to force Mia to do anything that she didn’t want to. He was just going fucking nuts. This bullshit was making him fucking crazy. He’d planned on getting to know her better. A lot better. Only when he’d discovered that she was in trouble he’d decided that he’d keep her. Fuck, he should just go get his damned cut from her and leave. Go home to the farm and forget that Mia’s perfect tits made his dick throb so hard his teeth ached.
Even as he listened to Bone telling him about a man they needed his expertise to break anyway he knew he
