found myself flipping head over feet in a move I've never used and would've
been too scared to learn.
    I
landed next to the horse on my feet in a fighting stance, but most surprisingly
there was no fear. It's as if all the fear took a back seat and in its place
was an overwhelming feeling of power and then I heard it, my sweet child's
voice.
    It
was all the warning I got before I found myself fighting for my life. 'Shine
mother'. The words were no sooner uttered than I was facing what looked like a
flying axe. I dodged it and stunned myself with the precision with which I did
it.
    The
men who were guarding me seemed held back by an unseen force; there were yells
and growls from my protectors as I was left alone to face my enemy.
    Where
was the racing heart, the fear of dying, there was nothing but a strong urge to
survive and funnily enough joy in the fight to come.
    "Tamara NO!"
    I
heard Donovan's scream at the same time I became aware that I was in motion. I
opened my mouth to scream but a loud screech up ahead stopped me short.
    "Oh
holy night." It's the best I could come up with as I found myself face to
face with my enemy, my eyes widened in apprehension before my arms and legs
went into motion.
    Theodora
wielded her sword like something out of Xena but I ducked her first swing,
swept my leg out in a wide arc and knocked her legs from under her. She was up
almost as quickly as she'd gone down.
    She
held the sword over her head ready to swing at me again, I could hear the
battle in full swing behind me and somehow I knew Donovan was trying to reach
me but was being cut off.
    'Concentrate
princess I'm coming for you don't worry.'
    Somehow
I didn't think he was going to get to me before I'd kicked her ass. I grew hip
to the fact that I was doing things that I should have no way of knowing how to
do and that can only mean one thing.
'The hand with the sword, hit it
at the wrist.' Nicola's voice was as calm as if she was reciting a nursery
rhyme. I folded my fists as I came up and knocked them as hard as I could into
her wrist. The sword flew out of her hand and she roared.
    "Arrrrrgggghhhh,
usurper, you'll never win against me." She was seriously fucked in the
head.
    I
grinned at her but it wasn't my grin, it was sinister and mean and menacing.
Before I could even begin to attack, Theodora suddenly got the most frightened
look on her face as she tried backing up from me.
    As
she backpedaled I advanced. not quite sure what had spooked her but certain
that this must end now.
    "You,
those eyes, but those are not your eyes.'
    "No,
they're my daughter's bitch." I'll figure out how I knew that later, for
now I ran up her legs to her chest as she was eight inches or more taller than
I and chopped her in her temples causing her to fall back. It barely stunned
her for a bit before she was back on her feet. Amazonian bitch.
Anger poured off of her in waves
and instead of retreating she now went on the attack. My daughter, (because
let's face it I was in no way running this show), decided that it was a good
idea to taunt the crazed bimbo, my middle finger went up before I used the forefinger
of my other hand to beckon her forward.
    "Come
get it bitch." Oh yeah Ms. Nicola was trying to get my ass killed.
    'Never
mother, now fight.' And fight I did, I jumped, I rolled, I kicked, I punched,
there was no hair pulling involved in this brawl, this was all out war, the
more she struggled to reach me with her arms and legs the harder it became. It
was almost as though there was a shield or force field around me that did not
allow her to connect, this only worked to enrage her even further, I was
playing a game of cat and mouse with her and enjoying the hell out of it.
    'Finish
her.' Donovan growled the order at me from somewhere off to the side as he too
fought to get to me. Okay this I wasn't too sure about, I mean end her kind of
sounded like kill her and I've never.......
While I was thinking how hard it
was to take her life the bitch
