dishes. Everyone is congratulating us and hugging us as they take their seats at the table. After every one has been seated, my father stands up. All attention is on him now. I have never been afraid of my dad embarrassing me until this very moment. He is not one for attention. Like myself, he would do anything to give the attention to someone else. What is he doing?
He stands quietly for a moment. Than he begins to speak quietly. Lliam ’ s mum pokes him, “ Nobody can hear you Matt, speak up. ” My dad ’ s voice grows into a confident strong voice. “ Thank you everyone for coming here today. This beautiful woman here, my daughter, is amazing. I think she deserves the very best the world has to offer. I never thought that I would say this, and never believe that I ’ d consider any man being good enough for her … until the day I met Lliam. Initially, I didn ’ t think I would like him. Actually, I thought that I would hate him, but I couldn ’ t. I loved him … I love him like he is my own son. ” He turns to Lliam and puts his hand on his shoulder. “ Lliam, I give the two of you my best wishes, and thank you for making my baby girl so happy. ” Everyone is now applauding, my dad ’ s face gets red and he sits back down into his seat.
After dinner, Lliam and I cut the cake. The cake is chocolate with white frosting, black and red flowers decorating all five tiers. A maid who ’ s name I do not know, places a slice on everyone ’ s place. I insisted today, that Paudrigene be attending the wedding as my friend, not as an employee. Apparently, as we were eating our dinner, the other servants were clearing the ball room. When we returned for a night filled with dancing, the chairs had been cleared; revealing a massive, polished, black and red dance floor. Lliam and I danced the first dance in the center of that floor, while all of our guests stood around the room watching us. I guess I am getting used to being the center of attention, because I just don ’ t care that they are watching us right now.

    Chapter 21: The aftermath

I swear, it is nine o ’ clock, and I think I have danced with just about every single male guest here. Every time I thought I ’ d get an entire song with Lliam, someone would come up behind us, tapping his shoulder to cut it. I am so ready to go. I find Lliam and grab onto his arm. I am not letting go this time. I whisper in his ear that I am ready to leave. We start to bid our farewells. By ten thirty, we had said goodbye to almost everyone. We set off to find his mother. I see her going up the stairs, she looks tired. “ Mum! ” I yell. Lliam and I run to catch up to her and follow her into her office. “ Are you two ready? ” “ Ready? ” I ask. “ sit down Victoria. ” I did as she said.
Mum hands me a box. I open it and smile. It is a princess tiara. I get up to hug her and she places it on my head. “ I love you guys. Now go! Go enjoy your wedding night. ” She winks at us and we all giggle.
Lliam and I get into my new car, he drives. We head to our new house. On the way there, I am chattering away mindlessly. I can ’ t stop thinking of biting him. It is not the way it is when we are kissing or I am thinking about having sex with him, I can control it right now. But, the thought is there, in the back of my mind, poking and prodding at my brain. “ Victoria, I know that you are only talking this much because you are nervous … Don ’ t be. When we get home, do whatever your brain tells you to, ok? ” I nod my head and tell him that I love him. “ I love you to Victoria. ”
We pull up to our home and I all but run to the door. As I am running, I am unzipping my wedding dress. I am standing at the front door waiting for Lliam, he sure is taking his time. Where is
