Bare for You: Outback Skies, Book 3
Ryan’s heart. He stared into Jeremy’s eyes, seeing in their blue depths the man’s turbulent frustration.
Ryan withdrew his now flaccid cock from Jeremy’s back passage and—after allowing himself a quick moment to discard his condom—stretched out on his side beside his lover.
His lover. What would he give to be able to permanently use that term to describe Jeremy?
As if sensing Ryan’s own haunted grief, Jeremy gave him a wry smile, his cheek resting on the blanket, his hair flopping over his eyes in a tousled mess. “Is this the bit were we get mopey? About me being a straight member of federal politics and you being a gay cowboy in the Outback?”
Ryan chuckled, brushing the back of his knuckle over Jeremy’s cheekbone, his jawline, his lips. “I think it is, I’m afraid. Was hoping it wasn’t going to happen, but it seems not the case.”
“So it’s not just me?” Jeremy gazed at Ryan with unblinking intensity, his warm breath fanning Ryan’s lips. “Thinking this is…was more than just sex?”
Ryan didn’t miss the correction. A strange tension wrapped his chest. A heavy knot churned in his gut.
You knew the second you landed, this could never be anything more than a night of sex, Taylor. You knew that. Don’t go getting morose that Jeremy knows the same.
“It was something beyond description,” he answered, forcing his voice to sound calm. At ease.
Jeremy studied him, an unreadable tension claiming his eyes. “Ryan…do you think…I mean, if I came back to Wallaby Ridge every now and again…”
Ryan kissed him silent, a soft brushing of lips.
With a low moan, Jeremy threaded his fingers into Ryan’s hair and deepened the kiss. Stroked his tongue over Ryan’s, coaxed it into his mouth.
Ryan surrendered to the assault, too weak to deny himself.
He’d given himself one night with the minister. One night to indulge in a desire so deep it had blindsided him. Knowing the pain that would surely come with the rising of the sun, and the emptiness that would follow when Jeremy flew back to Sydney would not stop him indulging in that desire again. In fact, it only made that desire, that need all the more powerful.
Growling into Jeremy’s mouth, he moved, rising just enough to flatten Jeremy to his back on the blanket.
He grabbed the other man’s wrists as Jeremy shifted beneath him, pinning them to the blanket either side of Jeremy’s head.
A deep groan of appreciation and excitement vibrated in Jeremy’s chest. He thrust his hips upward, grinding his groin—no longer soft, but not quite rigid—into Ryan’s.
With a sharp bite on Jeremy’s bottom lip, Ryan lifted his head and stared down into Jeremy’s eyes. “I don’t think I can be as gentle as I was the last time. Are you ready for that kind of—”
Before Ryan could finish the guttural declaration, Jeremy flipped him onto his back and straddled his hips, knees pressed to his ribcage, hands holding his wrists to the blanket. “Who said it’s your turn to be in charge?”
Searing lust shot through Ryan at the dominating tone of Jeremy’s voice. And the unexpected strength imprisoning his body.
Lowering his head closer to Ryan’s, Jeremy rolled his hips, mashing their groins together with a pressure borderline painful. Ryan could barely draw breath for the carnal pleasure shooting through him at the action.
“It’s my turn,” Jeremy declared, his lips curling. He raked one hand down Ryan’s arm, his blunt nails scoring lines of hot pleasure into Ryan’s skin, before capturing Ryan’s nipple and pinching.
Tight heat flooding into his groin, Ryan stared up at Jeremy. “Is it now?”
    Jeremy nodded.
And without another word, he crushed Ryan’s mouth and made love to his mouth.
It was physically impossible to be this aroused, this hard so soon after blowing his load. Nevertheless, that’s exactly what Jeremy was.
    Hard.
    Fully erect.
    Ready.
    So ready.
By the time he’d finished worshipping Ryan’s mouth
