the doctor today I really will have to blister your bottom.” Julia kissed the tips of Sarah’s fingers to soften the threat. She had to keep herself professional at all times. How she would love to have this girl for her own! How she would delight in training her. Sarah would endure much pain, yes, but Julia would teach her to know pleasure more exquisite than anything she had imagined. But no. Julia was merely a cog in the wheel of the Lair, no more than a girl like Sarah who had been smart and lucky enough to snag a position as Nurse instead of a rich man’s plaything. Julia had no right to feel anything for this girl. For now, Julia had to re-direct Sarah to accept her fate. To do otherwise would open Sarah up to worse and worse retribution. “It’s not just because I’m an evil nasty Nurse. If I don’t do my job and punish you, the higher-ups will do it themselves. You won’t like it. Most likely, you’ll do something naughty because this is all new to you. I will punish you, make no mistake, but I won’t be angry with you.”
Sarah relaxed. In this new strange world, punishments and spankings seemed almost normal. No one had ever caressed her this way before, or let their eyes fill with such frank appreciation of her body. Luke was correct in his treatment of her, but he didn’t seem to remember she had a body. After marriage, he would probably have sex with her enough times to create his 2.01 children and then ignore her altogether. She liked being appreciated. Stupid , she thought to herself. She and Luke had a history together. He might not love her or feel passion for her, but she owed him her gratitude. He had made her mother happy by asking her to marry him. Only a fool would feel a forbidden thrill with Julia, all the more thrilling in its forbidden nature.
A nurse dressed in a white uniform, complete with white starched cap, bustled into the room and put on a fresh pair of rubber exam gloves. “Dragonfly, is it? Thank you, Nurse Julia, and the Commandant is waiting for you outside.”
Julia suppressed her sigh. It was good of Richard to wait this long, and few superiors would be that indulgent. Still, she hated leaving her new charge. “Thank you,” she answered, and she rose to leave. She put a hand on Sarah’s shoulder and cautioned her. “Don’t make a fuss. Be good for the doctor and nurse, and I’ll pick you up when you’re done. Obey every instruction to the letter.”
Sarah struggled for self-control before bowing to the inevitable. She fought a growing sense of panic as she watched Julia leave. Strange, that the woman who humiliated her had become almost a friend. Not quite a friend, she reminded herself.
“ Stand up,” the nurse barked. “You should know better than to sit on the couch without your Nurse’s permission.”
Sarah wanted to retort that Julia had been the one to pull her onto the couch, but this was the wrong time to start an argument. Besides, Sarah had a feeling that all arguments would end with the same result — her poor abused bottom in trouble. She’d had enough trouble for one day. Plus — and she hated to admit it — she wanted Julia to be proud of her. Maybe if Sarah did everything she was supposed to, Julia would be nice again. “Sorry,” she said in a small voice. She stood up and moved to the table, pulling her paper gown down as far as it would go. She should have thought to take off the hateful diaper when Julia left. Maybe this new nurse would leave her alone long enough…
“Onto the scale.” The nurse turned, and Sarah noticed that her nametag said “Nurse Olson.” Why were these nurses called by their last names, while Julia was Julia? She’d have to ask later. Sarah glanced at the scale, and her eyebrows shot up. She’d lost five pounds, if the scale were telling the truth. Apparently, kidnapping and imprisonment were the new wonder diet. Who knew? After her mother had fussed at her for putting on weight during the past few months,
