receptors. The initial touch of her lips was so soft he could only feel the heat at first. He gladly let her play. Moving slowly, she increased the pressure until she had him in an expertly executed lip lock; it was obvious she had done this before.
Ecstasy burst through his skull like time-lapse flowers blooming. When her small tongue entered his mouth in search of his teeth, the sweet taste of maple and coffee went straight to his head and the entire restaurant exploded in catcalls, whistles, and overall chaos. He wasn’t one for exhibitionism…and usually avoided it like washing dishes…but at the moment, it didn’t bother him a bit. The only thing in his universe was a pair of delicious lips going to town on his, large hard nipples crushed against his T-shirt, and his cock begging to be let into its new favorite playground. Everything else was a blizzard.
After what seemed like next week rolled around, she broke the seal, sat back on his lap, and breathed hard. “Wow,” she whispered.
    “Yeah.”
Their eyes locked and he got lost for good. Having her there in his arms, her hot breath roasting the top of his lip, and her chocolate colored eyes filling his vision, Keenan felt at home. He pulled her close until her chin rested on his right shoulder and held on. Closing his eyes, he let the contentment fall like honey through his senses. It nourished him more deeply than twelve stacks of hotcakes.
Isabella squeezed him tightly and sat back, touching his cheek with one hot thumb.
“Now that’s what I call a dare,” she said, beginning to disentangle from his arms. He was having a problem moving them. They dislodged reluctantly.
“Yeah,” he repeated, not remembering any other words.
Isabella slid back to her seat opposite him, and the place settled down to a gentle roar, but not until after some very colorful suggestions from the crowd.
Before the dust settled in his stomach, refills on coffee and Constance appeared simultaneously. Keenan’s love soaked mind had a problem sorting them out for a second. That is until the latter said, “You need t’ get outta here, honey. I think it’s coming t’ kill you.”
Keenan could feel his smile turn to slush, but he didn’t say anything. Instead, he concentrated on smearing butter on his cakes and floating them in more syrup. Fortunately, Isabella’s food was distracting her. Keenan shook his head at Constance when Isabella wasn’t looking. Go away , he mouthed at her.
“Sorry, child, but you got t’ come with me. There’s something looking for you.”
Keenan lifted the napkin off his lap and put it on the table. “I’ll be right back,” he said to Isabella. He stood, mustered a wide mouthed grin at her, and headed for the men’s room a second time.
“You’re walking funny,” she called after him, which elicited additional comments from the crowd. Keenan ignored the advice and made his way through the sea of tables.
When he got to the john, he locked the door and shouted at Constance, “I can’t believe this! You guys are driving me crazy! Are you out of your mind? This is the first time in probably two years I’ve been on a date and you, of all people, show up to spoil it.”
Constance screwed up her face and physically bloated with anger. The strain was clear in her voice. “You need to listen t’ me, boy. There’s something after you…it’s coming this way.”
That put a cork in Keenan’s irritation and he focused in on her. “What do you mean?”
Constance deflated a bit. “Don’t know what it is, but it’s something bad. And it ain’t that succubus neither. Been watching it for about an hour. Something evil, kid. Something big. It was outside your house for the longest time.” Her eyes changed color. “It’s coming this way. You gotta get out of here.”
Keenan ran his hand through his hair and a deep rage settled over his exhaustion. “You know what? No. I’m tired of this, Cee. All I ever do is run from this stuff.
