I pick my pencil back up. “Jealous?”

“That you're falling into the same pussy day in and day out? Absolutely not.” He mashes a few buttons faster. “I actually think you're crazy. And not the good kind of crazy like Knox. But the bad kind of crazy like Hannibal.”

Does his logic make sense to you? If so...by all means please explain it to me.

Even more baffled than me, Knox scoffs, “Did you just infer your cousin is most likely to become a serial killer for falling in love?”

“Yes. Love turns people into serial killers.”

“That's...wow...” Is all she can whisper out.

“I don't think that's what was wrong with him.” I correct looking up briefly. “Two brain eaters on your left.”

“Fuck!” He shouts at the screen quickly shooting them. “Good looking out cuz.”

Smirking to myself I start another attempt at capturing the essence that is Jovi on a piece of a paper.

    Not possible.

Curious Knox asks, “Are you trying to draw your girl again? You've drawn her a million different ways. I honestly don't get it. The other's looked good, why are you still at it?”

“Because I don't want good ,” I grumble. Starting with her face like I always do, I continue, “I don't want great. I want...something vintage.”

    “Vintage? You sound like Madden...”

“Maybe.” I curl a crooked smile and look up at her. “I want something that when you see it you're reminded of all the most amazing things about her. Something that displays all the perfection about her. Something that 50 years from now you will look back and realize....they just don't make them like her anymore. That she's....the essence of incredible no matter the decade.”

Knox looks like she might swoon, which is when Ben states loudly, “Serial. Killer.”

Our laughter is short lived courtesy of the slammed front door.

“Oh look,” Knox mutters. “The Fun Killer's home.”

I snicker and Madden's voice booms through the room. “You're in so much fucking shit!”

Don't look at me. I'm just dating Jovi. Haven't even raced a car since she offered herself as a prize. I think she may have broken racing for me....Maybe I'll get it back. Do I even want it back?

Knox sighs, “Hey, Giant of the Bean Stalk, could you please tell us who your rage is directed at. It's not exactly clear.”

“That's not fucking funny.” He points a harsh finger at her. “And neither is the fact that I just had to pay for someone's warrant for their arrest to get washed away.”

Madden's words force my attention to roll over to Ben who is doing his best to keep his eyes on the screen.

Quickly she asks, “Who had a warrant?”

“For what?” I question loudly. “Speeding? Are you allergic to doing only 10 over?”

“That's still a speeding ticket,” Knox mumbles.

“Tell them!” Madden's voice shouts.  “Tell them what the warrant was fucking for! Tell them why the cops were beating on Aunt Kelli's door! Why she called me in tears Ben! Fucking tell them!”

“It's not that big of a deal.” He shrugs pausing the game. “I just...I got caught...”

Curious I push him, “Caught doing what?”

“I was trying to...I was just trying to make a little extra cash on the side.”

“You were trying to deal!” Madden screams.

Knox looks more confused than before. “Drugs?”

“No watermelons,” Madden's sarcasm makes her flash him her middle finger. With his anger brewing he moves so he's sitting on the edge of the couch next to Knox. “Fucking explain. Now.”

Ben tosses the controller on the couch beside him. “It wasn't that big of a deal Mad Man. I swear.”

“The fucking warrant that caused me to make some calls I didn't wanna fucking make in the middle of getting laid makes me feel otherwise.”

“That's why you weren't at the shop with me and Triple D? Because you were too
