touched the cut on his lip and
he saw her mouth, “I’m sorry.”
Another tear fell from her eye and
she wiped it quickly.
“What’s your address?” She reached
for her purse and started looking for her phone.
“Jordy, you don’t have to leave,”
he said, sincerely.
“I just… I know I screwed this up,
and I just feel so fucking stupid and now I am crying and it’s just not how I
pictured this either…,” her voice trailed off still fumbling through her purse.
“Jordy, I don’t want you to
leave.”
He pulled her onto his lap and
slapped her ass hard as it was exposed now. She straddled him and he kissed her
lips softly.
“What the fuck were you thinking?”
he said, laughing at her and scorning her at the same time.
“Football and sex isn’t that the
way to a man’s heart?” she asked, smiling at him.
“Don’t try, Jordy, it’s a lost
cause.”
He looked at her again, this time
with less sincerity and more like an order.
“So you are staying,” he said,
breaking his stare and touching her in all the right places.
“I didn’t want to leave, Tite, but
you knew that,” she said, keeping her promise to be truthful. She had already
been seen as vulnerable today so she let the words go, too exhausted and worried
to care how he would interpret them.
Her heart sank when he told her
basically she didn’t have a chance with him.
That’s what he was saying, right?
Why was she here?
He seemed to be wondering the same
thing too, but here they were.
“You are beautiful, Jordy,” he
said, taking her Leia buns down, her still wet hair curled around her
shoulders. He raised his hand to her exposed chest and traced his finger under
each breast until she was panting. He knew he would break her heart. He just
didn’t have it in him to love another woman, especially to just put up with
another woman. He had just lost his out by asking her to stay. This was not
like him. She had just told him she was after his heart. He would let her go,
just not yet.
“Come on, let’s eat.” He pulled her
off of the floor and they started walking toward the bedroom door.
“Tite, I can’t face him, really. I
am so fucking stupid. I…”
He cut her off with one finger over
her mouth.
“First of all, he is under a strict
contract to keep his mouth shut at all times. He is not to discuss anything
that he sees or that goes on in this house with other staff or his own family
members. I pay him a fortune to keep it that way. Now, if he goes home and
fucks the hell out of his wife with your naked body on his mind, well baby,
that’s out of my hands. You won’t see him, I promise.”
“Will you show me around first?”
she asked, almost like a kid in a candy store. “I have only seen two rooms in
the house.”
“Yeah, why not?”
He grabbed her hand and led
her down the hall of the “playhouse” floor. He showed her an entire room full
of awards first. She was amazed at how full the shelves were, lined with award
after award. Her eyes scanned the wall, landing on his first platinum record,
then his second, then his third. She pointed and said boldly, “This is my
favorite.”
He turned to her, as if what she
said was fascinating, and waited to hear more.
“I love Scathed . But this
one,” she pointed to number four, “is a close second. I listened to this
driving cross country, I fucking love it.”
She turned to him, pleased with her
choices, and he just studied her, staring at her. He grabbed her hand again and
they walked to another room, a study filled with thousands of books.
“Holy shit!” She didn’t bother to
hide her shock; it looked like the world’s largest private library.
“And, how much time do you spend in
here?” she teased, but she knew better, he was very well educated,
self-educated, really. Jordy knew from his lyrics, he had been in and out of
juvenile detention for the better part of his teens.
He was a petty thief until he was
discovered by Tunez.
