worrying about anything other than the thrilling pleasure mat was rippling through her in waves.
She moved beneath him now, not with calculated thought, but with unconscious demand. Her nails sank into his
skin again, but this time they nearly drew blood. Her legs wrapped him close, but this time she squeezed him with
every ounce of her feminine strength, not fully appreciating just how strong she was.
“Julian!“ The cry was a command and a plea as Emelina’s head arched backward over his arm and her eyes shut
    tightly against the invading desire.
“Hold me, Emmy. Hold me as if you’ll never let me go!“ Julian ordered roughly, his fingers sliding down between
their bodies to find the tangled, moist thicket between her legs. There he did something that seemed to send Emelina
over the edge of an invisible cliff.
In that final moment she couldn’t even breathe his name. She had no breath left. The tension within her uncoiled in
a flashing, electrical current of energy that convulsed every nerve and muscle in her body. She clung to the man above
her as if he were the only refuge in the storm racking her soft frame. She was barely aware of the fierce unleashing of
his own satisfaction. Dimly she heard her name being harshly called and then she collapsed beneath him, certain she
would never be able to move again.
It was Julian who moved first, but not for some time. Emelina came drowsily out of her timeless, dreamless state as
he reluctantly drew away from her body and rolled to one side. When she turned her head on the rug to look at him
from beneath her heavy lashes she found him watching her with a grim satisfaction.
“Don’t ever, ever lie to me, Emmy,“ he grated softly, moving his fingers absently through the chestnut brown
tresses tangled around her head. “Not verbally or physically. You’ll never get away with it. Trying to lie to me is the
one sure way to make me very angry. I want only honesty from you, do you understand?“
In spite of the warm aftermath of pleasure, Emelina knew an abrupt shiver of chilling uncertainty. “I’m sorry, Julian.
I only wanted to please you. I didn’t think I was capable of…of finding out what it was really like and I knew you
wouldn’t be satisfied unless you thought you had pleased me so I…I tried to act pleased. Oh, I don’t know how to
explain,“ she mumbled, turning her head aside so that she no longer had to meet his eyes.
He caught her chin on the edge of his hand and raised her head again. This time she saw the tenderness in his
eyes. “You sweet idiot. You’re a creature of passion and excitement, don’t you know that?“
“No,“ she retorted baldly. “I don’t!“
“Well, you are and from now on I’m going to be the only man who has the right to put you in touch with that side
of yourself. Is that very clear?“ He traced the outline of her lips with his thumb.
Emelina felt too vulnerable and confused to argue. She could only stare at him, searching for an explanation of
what was happening. Julian saw the grave questions in her face and leaned forward to brush his mouth against hers.
“And if you ever pull a stunt like that fake act of passion again, I guarantee I will stop right where we are and turn you
over my knee. By the time I’ve finished paddling your charming derriere you will be unable to think of playing any
    more games!“
Desperately she struggled for a way of responding to the indulgent gleam in his eyes. “That sounds kind of
    kinky.“
His amusement exploded into outright laughter as Julian gathered her close. “It is,“ he assured her. “Very kinky. I
wouldn’t dream of suggesting it if you weren’t such a wild little witch in bed!“ Then he drew his hand along her thigh
and began teasing her mouth with his own. Emelina felt his amusement changing into another emotion.
“Julian?“ she questioned softly as the first faint ripples of excitement began stirring in the pit of her
