her clit, and then his hard cock filled her, hitting her cervix and
releasing a quiet bomb of sensations. It started bit by bit and swiftly picked
up the pace to slam into her. His rhythm changed, but he continued to fuck her
hard. A tug on the chain set off another set of bliss filled sparks inside her,
and then his roar filled the room.
    After
several more hard hits, he stopped moving. With his cock fully seated within
her, he lowered his mouth to her ear and kissed her. It was intimate and
splendid. Their breathing slowed, and the moment of shared bliss ended when he
pulled from her. After disposing of the condom, he pulled her to him as he
melted to the floor. Their cuddle wasn't graceful, but it filled her need in
every way.
    Musky
smells of sweat and sex reminded her of what they'd done. She squeezed her eyes
shut and cuddled into his hold. She'd give anything to freeze this moment, but
it had only been a few days. A warning sign in her head told her to be careful.
No matter how much she trusted him in a scene, she needed to protect her heart.
    His
arm wrapped around her and pushed back the cold seeping into her limbs. She
pulled in a huge breath and let it out, relaxing into his embrace.
    “Let's
get those clamps off.” He stroked her back. “Tell me something about you.” His
thumb pushed at the latch on one of her clamps.
    “Like
what? Oh!” A bright flash of pain pulsed repeatedly in her breast.
    “Anything. I hardly know
anything about you.” He rubbed her nipple, and the pain drifted away. “Do you
miss your family in Detroit?”
    “Not
really.” She shifted her leg over his and cuddled closer, effectively hiding
the other clamp.
    How
could she miss her family when her father was still interfering in her life?
Anger revved in her veins. Every time he stepped in to direct her life, she
swore she wouldn't let it happen again. This time she moved to Chicago, as if distance
could deter him. She feared what he might try next if she didn't accept the job
with Harry.
    All
her insecurities and worries had no place to stay when she was in Simon's arms.
He didn't let her hide or shelter her from life; he simply let her live.
Confidence surged through her veins. Her decisions led her to him, and each
time she'd been with him, she chose to be with him. She chose.
    “Janna,
is your family a problem?” He reached in between them and released the last
clamp. His kneading fingers soothed the pain.
    “Thank
you.” She pressed his hand into her breast. “Can you keep doing that?”
    “Sure,
but answer my question. Is your family a problem?
    “I'm
doing my part to make sure they're not anymore.” She raised her head and
scanned over his taut expression. “My father means well, but he's tried to have
way too much say in my life.”
    “Did
you run away from home?” He ran his hand over her hair and down her back.
    “It
sounds funny, but I did actually, not to be defiant, but to live my own life.”
She rose up on her elbow and dragged the pads of her fingers over his
collarbone. “It took a lot for me to move away from my family.”
    He
grabbed her chin to look her in the eye. “Loyalty is a beautiful thing when
it's deserved.”
    She
gasped on her next breath. Loyalty to family had always been her top priority. Her
move here didn't mean she loved them any less, but it proved she was making her
own priorities now. A shiver ran over her naked skin.
    Who deserves my loyalty
now?
    “It
seems you made the right choice for you.”
    “I
did.” She looked back to his eyes. “I don't want you to judge my dad, though.
He's still my father. Please know I didn't make this decision on a whim.” She
rested her head back on his shoulder. “Family isn't easy to leave, no matter
the dysfunction.”
    She
did miss the comfort of her mother, knowing her love was always there. She
didn't have the heart to spell out all the reasons why she needed to stay away
from her father.
    “They're
actually only one of the reasons I
