for once they weren’t looking at her as though they couldn’t wait to strip her naked. They looked serious. Solemn. And there was a hint of apprehension in Ant’s eyes that wasn’t in J.B.’s. Logan’s stomach sank, because she’d known it was too good to be true. He wanted out. He thought she was another Emily, out to take them for everything they had. He was leaving them. She just knew it.
“Come here, baby,” J.B. ordered softly, holding out a hand to her.
Logan thought about refusing, of huddling in the doorway. Or hell, going back in the bathroom and locking the door. If she didn’t hear Ant saying he was leaving, it wouldn’t happen. It worked for Edward when he tried to hide in plain sight. Maybe it’d work for her too.
“Logan,” he said firmly, hand steady and safe.
She approached him slowly, her gaze darting back and forth between the men she loved with all her heart. Once she was within range, she reached out to take J.B.’s hand, almost running to him when he gave a gentle tug. But he didn’t pull her into his lap. Instead he sat her on the bed, right between him and Ant. She glanced at Ant, who was watching her, but his face was still carved in those tight lines.
Licking her lips, hoping she didn’t make a complete fool of herself and start wailing because it was all over, she sucked in a deep breath. Then pasted a small smile on her face and tried to bluff her way through it. “What’s going—Oh my god what are you doing?” she ended on a shriek when both J.B. and Ant knelt on the floor in front of her, holding small, square boxes in their hands.
It was J.B. who answered, th e sexy smile that had captured her from the get-go on his face. “I think that’s obvious, babe. We’re giving you boxes to put your earrings in.”
“Fuckin’ things keep fallin’ off the dresser and I keep steppin’ on them on the way to the bathroom,” Ant added with a tight smile.
“It happened one time,” Logan shot back, her heart pounding with hope and fear and excitement.
“Hurt like a son -of-a-bitch though.”
She threw her hands up. “Fine, I’ll kiss it better.”
The heated glance he shot her through the thick fringe of his eyelashes combated the apprehension she’d felt at first seeing him. “That ain’t exactly where I want you to kiss me, sweetcheeks.”
“We’ll get to that in a second,” J.B. cut in , with a glare at his twin. Then he looked at Logan again, face serious. “We were gonna try to be romantic and take you out to dinner somewhere—”
“Buy you flowers, take you dancin’ or something,” Ant added.
J.B. picked up the thread again. “But that isn’t who we are. We’re rough guys, babe. Noisy, messy—”
“Hairy,” Ant butted in again. “We hate that society shit Mom loves so much . We like to drink beer. We like our woman wearin’ barely anything, to make it easier to get to her pus—”
J.B’s elbow found Ant’s ribs, cutting him off again. “She gets it. Fuck, man.” He shook his head at his brother and looked at Logan, who was doing her best not to start laughing hysterically. “We’re not perfect, but we’re both perfectly in love with you.”
At that, her laughter died and a warm glow set up shop in her chest. “I love you too. Both of you, so much,” she breathed.
That earned her sweet, sinful smiles from her men.
“We want to make it official,” Ant blurted, obviously anxious, something she found amusing and adorable, although she’d never tell him that. “We know when we do this for real it’ll be just to one of us, and that’ll happen soon, but right now we want to make our vows to you, Logan.”
She blinked at them. “Is this a marriage proposal?”
J.B. shot a glare at Ant. “Told you I should’ve done that part,” he muttered under his breath. He turned back to her. “Yes, this is a marriage proposal from both of us, babe. We love you, want to spend the rest of our lives making you happy, giving you babies
