a breath and grab the strip of condoms. I rip one off then tear open the package. I look at it, trying to figure out which way it goes. I grab the banana when I think I’ve got it figured out and set it over the bottom of the fruit.

“Helpful tip, pinch the tip of the condom before you roll so it doesn’t get air in it,” Ace says.

I do what he says and roll the condom down over the banana. I hold it up to show Ace, who smiles and nods.

“Good job, do it one more time then you can keep the rest,” he says.

After practicing one more time, I pocket the rest of the condoms. Ace warns me that they do have an expiration date – something I didn’t know. I thank my best friend before heading back to my own room. We had already done the radio shows in Philly and had arrived in Hollywood this afternoon. We already did the taping for The Tonight Show . We will be heading over to do Jimmy Kimmel Live in a couple of hours.

I haven’t had one second of alone time with Lizette since we started this trip and I was hoping to convince her to spend the night with me again. That’s why I went to Ace when I did. I want to be prepared. Lizette is the only woman I have ever considered losing my virginity to. I know that she won’t go around spreading rumors about me that could get back to my mother. That is one of the biggest reasons I’m still a virgin. My mother is very religious and believes in waiting until marriage. She’s never forced that on her kids, but I know that it would break her heart if I ever became some kind of man-whore who slept with a shit ton of groupies. I can’t do that to her, so I’ve waited. And if Lizette doesn’t want to be with me in that way, then I will wait longer.

I yawn, covering my mouth with the back of my hand. We are all crammed in a van on our way back to the hotel. It’s almost 2:00 am and I am completely wiped out. Jet lag doesn’t help either. I somehow ended up next to Beau. His arm is resting on the back of the seat behind me with his fingers brushing my shoulder, on purpose no doubt. I can see the longing in his eyes, he wants to touch me so badly, but since we’ve been in a group pretty much this whole trip, he hasn’t been able to. I have to admit that I have been tempted a few times to go up and hug him just to take that pained look out of his eyes. Beau is a lovey-dovey, touchy-feely kind of guy. He’s affectionate and I know that it is killing him that he can’t show his affection for me in front of everyone else.

So, in the van, I lean into him and drop my head onto his shoulder. I could have done that with any of the guys, so they wouldn’t think anything of it. He makes a soft pleased noise that only I hear and leans his cheek against the top of my head. He’s so warm and comfortable that I find myself dozing off.

I wake to Beau’s quiet voice telling the guys to go ahead, that he would take care of me. I hear Roland mutter something, but can’t make it out. Beau quietly tells him to shut the fuck up. Whatever is going on between Beau and Roland seems to be getting worse. I’ve noticed them arguing more and more. Eventually, I might have to step in and force them to talk it out and make up. Friction within the group is not productive and could potentially be destructive.

I feel Beau’s fingers trail across my cheek. “Hey, Sugar, wake up, we’re here,” he murmurs softly.

I drag my eyes open and focus on Beau, whose face is hovering just above my own. I give him a soft smile. “Hey.”

“Hey, do you want to me carry you?” he asks with a smirk.

“You would like that, wouldn’t you?” I roll my eyes.

“I would love to hold you in my arms,” he replies sincerely, his eyes dancing over my face while his thumb strokes my cheek.

My heart flutters. No man has ever spoken to me so sweetly before. I can’t help but smile shyly at him. Beau leans down and brushes his lips
