snaps me out of my perverted thoughts.
Sam: I’m rolling my eyes right now…and maybe blushing at the image that just popped in my head.
Me fucking, too. The heat rushing through my veins right now is not something I care to be experiencing while I’m sitting at a table with a bunch of dudes.
Me: Can we pick this up later? The guys and I are eating supper right now, and I really don’t want to explain why I’m sporting a hard-on.
Sam: LOL! Yes, tell the boys I said hi and if there is any peach dessert left on Friday I’ll send some their way.
Me: We’ve talked about this. No one gets your peaches but me.
Sam: *eye roll* Bye, Crawford, see you soon.
Not soon enough.
I crave this girl every second of every day. For the past two weeks I’ve been with her every chance I get. When I’m not here, I’m buried in her, losing myself not only in her body but everything else about her. I don’t know how the hell I’m going to be able to say good-bye when the time comes.
I quickly shove the thought aside, not wanting to think about it. Slipping my phone back into my pocket, I look up to see everyone at the table staring at me. “What?”
“You have it so fucking bad,” Cam says, shaking his head with a chuckle.
A collection of agreements follow from everyone else around the table.
“You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about,” I grumble.
“No? Are you telling me the stupid grin that was just on your face has nothing to do with a certain blonde haired, green eyed bombshell that, might I add, just so happens to be Sawyer Evans’s baby sister?”
I tense, cutting a glare his way. “Watch it, Phillips. That asshole has nothing to do with Sam and me.”
“Then what does it have to do with, Crawford?” Jake asks, his accusing tone instantly pissing me off.
“What’s it to you, Ryan ?”
“Sam is cool regardless of how you feel about her brother. If this is some sort of fucking vendetta against him then—”
“I just said he has nothing to do with it. This is between Sam and me. So mind your own fucking business.”
“All right, both of you, calm the fuck down,” Austin snaps, his voice coming through louder than the two of ours. “Look, Crawford, we’re just surprised is all. It’s no secret you don’t like that family, Sam included.”
“When the hell did I ever say I didn’t like her?”
“Whenever you’d run into her you’d do everything you could to piss her off. That was indication enough,” he says.
“That’s because he wanted to fuck her,” Cam cuts back in, earning himself another glare from me. “What? It’s not like it isn’t true. Anytime both of you were in the same room you could cut the tension with a knife. The same tension Austin and our girl Zoey has,” he adds. “Except theirs isn’t so…shall we say…volatile.”
Austin sits back in his chair, his eyes narrowing at Cam’s smug smirk. “Since when the hell did you become a fucking expert on love?”
“Hey, who said anything about love? I’m talking about attraction and fucking, and for your information, I know a lot about that shit.”
We all grunt but don’t argue. It’s no secret he’s the biggest whore of us all.
Before anyone can say more, Captain Gypsy comes storming in. “What the hell is all the griping about? I’m on a goddamn phone call and I hear you all fighting like a bunch of girls. Shut up and eat the damn dinner I paid for.”
Silence fills the air as he stomps away, the sound of his boots hitting the hard floor before we hear the slam of his door.
We all share a look before busting out in laughter.
“Shut up and eat the damn dinner I paid for ,” Declan mocks, making us laugh harder.
Once we wind down, I decide to lay the prior issue to rest once and for all. “Look, I get you guys care about Sam but you know me better than that. I’d never use her to get to him. It’s not my style.”
Although, I hate to admit it but I did entertain the idea once years
