hosts.   ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.” (Haggai 2:6-9)

Haggai was not talking about a temple that was destroyed, but pointing to a time in the future when the Lord says, “I will fill this temple with glory.” What Temple is He speaking of? Not some new structure erected in Israel, as some believe. He is talking about “living stones,” not dead concrete. In these last days God is pouring out the perpetual flow of abundance to bring His people into a completed body.

Isaiah looked through time and saw the same thing:

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.   Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the hip. Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.” (Isaiah 60:1-5)

The question is, “What is the real purpose of the abundant flow?” If God says, “The riches of the nations will come,” what will be the purpose of all this wealth? Will it be to build bigger and better? Will it be to build a bigger name for ourselves?

The wealth of the nations is connected to God's glory filling the earth, and of building a dwelling place suited for Him. Not a building, but millions and millions of people who make up living stones. These people who will have the resources and abundance available to reach many more millions, who have yet to receive Jesus Christ.

“Abundance is a process of letting go; that which is empty can receive.”

“People with a scarcity mentality tend to see everything in terms of win-lose. There is only so much; and if someone else has it, that means there will be less for me. The more principle-centered we become, the more we develop an abundance mentality, the more we are genuinely happy for the successes, well-being, achievements, recognition, and good fortune of other people. We believe their success adds to…rather than detracts from…our lives.”
- Stephen R. Covey

“Start with big dreams and make life worth living.”
- Stephen Richards

“Life in abundance comes only through great love.”
- Elbert Hubbard

“Whatever we are waiting for – peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance – it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart.”
- Sarah Ban
