Stormbound
As a result, his features were in shadow, but she could make out his substantial physique.
“I don’t have any words,” she admitted at length. “No explanation.”
He extended his hand, and she imagined he was trying to capture snowflakes. “It’s out there, somewhere.”
The door opened again, and Levi, half buried under a coat, walked over to them. He positioned himself on her side opposite from where Briant stood. Cushioned and cradled by the men, she stopped shivering.
“I found some canned stew in the kitchen,” Levi said. “It’s in a pan on the woodstove.”
“Good,” Briant said. “That’ll be dinner.”
Dinner for three, followed by what? If the storm rose up again, maybe they’d have no control over how the evening played out.
“We aren’t going to apologize,” Levi told her. “That’s what we decided while you were in the shower.”
She pulled her hand out of her pocket and touched his cooling cheek. “I don’t want you to.” She turned toward Briant. “Maybe we shouldn’t say anything about what happened.”
Briant shrugged. “At least not for a while. There’s something else we talked about.”
Dinner was warming inside, and the evening was becoming cooler by the moment. Just the same, nothing she’d ever done felt more right than standing here with her lovers, her masters . “What?”
“That we don’t want things to end between the three of us.”
The wind she’d thought had died sent snow shards into her face, yet she turned toward it. The men pressed against her. “Neither do I.”
“Even if we don’t know what’s happening?” Briant asked.
“I don’t care about that.” She placed her hands on the railing. They covered her smaller ones with theirs. “Only this matters. Only the three of us.”
“Is that all?” Levi said. “You remember what you called us, right?”
“Masters.” The word slid off her tongue.
“Is this the only time you’ll say that?” Briant asked.
“No.” Opening her mouth, she pulled the taste of snow into her. “We’ll go there again.”
    “Where?”
“The dungeon, the barred house in the wilderness.”
“And other places.” Levi wrapped his arm around her shoulder. “Like a tropical island.”
“You’ll tan everywhere,” Briant said, “because you’ll never wear clothes there.”
A gentle sea breeze slid over her heated skin as she waited for her masters to return. They’d taken the boat out earlier today, and there was no other way off the island. Just the same, they’d tethered her via her collar to a palm tree.
A dot in the ocean grew larger as her masters approached. Eager, she massaged her breasts until her nipples hardened. Her feet packed the sand as she paced back and forth.
The small boat gently bumped the dock, and Briant jumped out. Levi tossed the tie rope to Briant, followed by fishing poles and a heavy stringer. Side by side they started toward her.
Weakened by need, she sank to her knees.
    “Welcome home, Masters.”

I was born and raised in the boondocks of the boondocks. TV? What was that? It wasn’t unusual for the small mountain logging town to be snowbound in winter but I didn’t care. As long as my sister and I could get outside we were happy. And if we couldn’t, we read. Our mother and grandmother, who helped raise us, were both teachers so the reading bug hit early. Only with me it soon morphed into a driving need to create something from the adventures I was having in my mind. I started by giving The Lone Ranger’s horse Silver fab adventures but eventually I educated myself about the publishing world and have been chasing that brass ring ever since. Under my ‘real’ name, I penned who knows how many romances and Native American historicals. For the last four or so years Vonna Harper has taken over my creativity and I’m
