had experienced many dreams such as these.
Her dreams always started with her running without a care in the world. How strange? It was then that her wolf howled for all she was worth. Her wolf was happy too.

The feeling of elation radiated within her as the wolf took over the moment it spotted something to eat. Serenity for one was very happy to be block from witnessing the demise of the poor furry animal.

Where was she? Serenity could feel her body and mind. Yet there was nothing around her. Luckily she wasn’t blocked long and when she was allowed control again; her wolf requested they go and wash up. That was the moment they saw themselves for the first time.

They were very pretty.  Her wolf was proud and once again it radiated through her being.  “ Our mate is going to be so happy when we find him.  We look beautiful.” The voice gleefully said.

“Our what? I don’t understand?” Seems there was more Serenity had to learn.
“Our mate, didn’t your family tell you about the one person made especially for you?” The voice questioned in surprise.

Serenity found herself snorting. “I just found out about you yesterday. It was an upsetting revelation to say the least.” This time her body radiated sadness and the voice became quiet. “Wolf, are you there?”
“You didn’t want me?” The wolf asked feeling sad and betrayed.

“‘I’m so sorry wolf; I had no idea it would be this glorious to be with you. Let’s not forget I was also told that the shift might possibly kill me. Can you ever forgive me?” She could feel the happiness within again but there was another emotion too. Yet her wolf masked it just as fast as she had felt it.

“It is not in my nature to hate. Of course I forgive you, I’m glad you like me now!”

Serenity kept the one important thought hidden away. Why had she not died? Regardless of her worry. The rest of the night was magical. Serenity couldn’t believe what her parents were put through because of her. She vowed to make it up to them tomorrow.

For now, she was standing behind some bushes with her mother while being instructed on how to shift back. The pain wasn’t enough to cause another black out but boy had it hurt. Her mother reassured that the pain would decrees as the shifts became more frequent. “Are you still with me Wolf?”’

“Yes, tired but immensely happy. Thank you for tonight.” The voice was weak but content. She sounded just like Serenity felt.

Chapter 3

The next morning Serenity woke feeling refreshed and once again happy. It was time to start giving back. She went into the kitchen and prepared pancakes with bacon, sausage, eggs and oatmeal. She even went as far as making freshly squeezed orange juice.  “Damn, why do I feel so hungry all of a sudden?”

Her words were met by laughter. “Sugar, that’s because you’re a wolf now and you will be hungry all the time.  You burn off a lot of energy running in wolf form. So you have to replenish more often.” Her mother explained through their mind link.

“Crap, I’m going to get fat too?” More laughing followed her question.

“Am I overweight Serenity?” Her mother asked and she felt the need to tease her just a little but held back. “I guess not mom, thanks.” She was liking being able to talk with people through her mind.

After breakfast Serenity ask her mother to wash her fur with shampoo and conditioner.  Her mother rolled her eyes but humored her daughter anyway. The pampering ended with a spritzing the Dolce and Gabbana she loved so much. It was her trademark scent.

Now they looked and smelled divine. Her wolf seemed to be girly too, yet drew the line at wearing ribbons.  “Are you ready for another run?”

~*~*~*~*~*~
Serenity was none the wiser that on the other side of the woods Logan too had finished breakfast?

Logan had consumed so much food that morning, he was close to bursting.
