cock as her orgasm detonated in a series of tremors and shudders. Pushed to the edge, Forrest came, pumping inside her until every bit of his hot seed released inside her.
“I love you,” she whispered with jagged breath.
He nodded against her chest, choked with emotions he never thought he’d experience. Forty years was a long time to go without a true mate.
Bailey stroked his hair. “Are you all right?”
Forrest kissed her, letting all the tenderness he felt for her pour into that one action. When he finished, he said. “I love you too.”

Chapter Twelve
Bailey had just checked on the bride for the gazillionth time since early hours of the day. The wedding was less than an hour away. The maid of honor gown, which was a perfectly lovely shade of pale green, had an unfortunate off the shoulder cut that put her new mate mark on display for all the guests, including the rival pack alphas in attendance. If anyone had any doubts about who Forrest had chosen, that had been assuaged by mark.
Bailey stepped outside for a minute to get some fresh air.
The backyard had been turned into a bride’s fantasy. The chairs were all covered in white and decorated with pink and green ribbons. Lilies lined the rolled out carpet that formed an aisle in the center. At the end was a large, circular gazebo covered in ivy and baby’s breath. Howling wolf ice sculptures were strategically placed in the yards, and a soft breeze lent itself to the magic of the day.
Tory, wearing a golden, shimmery dress that flattered her and made her even more gorgeous, if possible, bounded up to Bailey. “Did you look at the information Dale gave you?” She owed him a debt she could never pay, he’d saved more than her own life by sacrificing his.
Tory’s brown eyes gleamed. “It’s pure gold, darling. With this information, we can’t lose.” She shook her head. “But today is about other things. Like what the hell happened to your shoulder?”
“Remember when I talked about the mate mark?”
“You mean the permanent, no going back, until death do you part, mate mark?”
    Bailey smiled.
    “Wow.” She looked around. “Who?”
Forrest, dressed in a sexy-ass tux, picked that moment to walk outside. “The who would be me.” He looped his arm around Bailey’s neck. “I can’t wait until our wedding day.”
Tory’s eyes grew huge like two saucers. “I better be your maid of honor.”
    Bailey laughed. “Of course.”
Forrest drew her into his arms and kissed her as if she were breath itself. When he came up for real air, his father was waving at him. “Excuse me for a minute, Kalinka .”
Bailey tried not to squee . She loved his little pet name for her. It was perfect. As to his parents, they’d congratulated Forrest for finding a good mate, and that was the only apology those two alphas were going to issue.
“ Kalinka methinka that man is a duh-reamy!” Tory said. “I have a date to the wedding too, by the way.”
“Oh yeah.” Bailey tried to read her face. “Who?”
Tory pointed toward Luke Blackthorn and Landon Gilly.
“Is your date Luke or Landon?”
“Yes,” Tory said. She wiggled her brows.
“No.” Bailey looked at her BFF then over to her soon to be brother-in-law and his BFF. “Both of them?”
Tory laughed. She waved her fingers at the two men, and they beckoned her over. “Gotta go, babe. Love you.” She kissed Bailey’s cheek and took off toward her dates.
Dorian sidled up to Bailey next and nudged her shoulder. “You ready for all this?”
Bailey sighed. Happily. “I think I am.”
“Well, Forrest has definitely proven he doesn’t need a marriage alliance to be strong.” Dorian smiled. “You’re good for our ice king, little fox.”
Bailey rolled her eyes. “We’re good for each other.” Maxine Silverback walked across the yard toward Forrest and his father. Bailey’s hackles rose, and her body went rigid.
“Don’t you worry, sis. That isn’t about you. Turns out Maxine
