can’t wait to see the excitement on her face when he presents it
to her. He is determined to make her is wife this summer. He didn’t know if it
was healthy or not to meet someone in October and want to marry them by March
but he doesn’t care either. He tells her he will have Shannon send his schedule
to her. That way she can get adjusted to his life. Samantha goes into the
bathroom to finish getting ready. She looks into the mirror and starts crying.
She is so afraid that his parents are going to tell them, “Hell no! You can’t
marry that black girl.”
Jacob calls
her name and she doesn’t answer the 1st time.
"Just a
minute,” she says in a shaky voice.
He knocks on
the door, “Can I come in?”
"No,"
she says.
He comes in
anyway. She is sitting in the corner of the bathroom with her knees to her chest
and her arms around her legs.
"What
the hell happened?" he asks.
"I’m
scared," she says.
His eyes got
big. "Scared of what?" he asks.
"Your
parents are going to tell you that you can’t marry me," she says
sobbing.
He gets on his
knees to talk to her holding her arms.
"Look
at me. I'm a grown man and no one can make me do what they want," he says.
I live my life the way I see fit, I do what I want and that’s final, so if they
disown me then it’s unfortunate. I’m living my life for us not for them. When
you become my wife, you come first before anyone. Try not to worry about
it. We will get through today. To be honest, I’m nervous too. “But we will be
ok,” he says wiping the tears from her beautiful light caramel colored face kissing
her forehead. He helps her up. “We have to board my jet. It’s in Kennesaw which
is twenty minutes away.”
She is
wearing a cute red flare skirt with a gold top, pearl necklace, red cardigan
sweater, and black red bottom stilettos.
When they
arrive, the Butler let them into the huge foyer from which a gorgeous
chandelier hangs. His parents greet them. Jacob introduces them to Samantha.
"This
is my mom Rebecca and my dad Jacob Sr. or Jake to keep down confusion,” he
jokes.
“This is my
girlfriend Samantha Posey,” says Jacob.
They look a
little surprised but they give her a warm Texas hug.
"I'm
baking a pecan pie Samantha, join me in the kitchen," says Rebecca.
“Of course,”
she says.
The butler
starts to take the bags.
“I've got
them. Thanks anyway,” says Jacob.
Jacob takes
their bags up to his room then heads out to the stables with his father. “So
how long have you been dating this girl?” asks Jake.
"About
three months,” says Jacob.
"Three
months and she’s already your girlfriend?" asks Jake.
“You knew
when you first saw mom that you wanted to be with her.”
"Wait a
damn minute! You went from dating to being with the girl forever,” says Jake.
"Hey
grandson how ya doing?" says Ted walking over to Jacob.
"Hey
PaPa!" says Jacob.
"I
understand you brought your girlfriend to meet us," says Ted. “This must
be serious.”
"Yes my
intentions are to marry her," says Jacob. “I can’t be without her. I
tried. I was miserable to myself and others. I knew when I first saw her there
was something special about her. I will be with her!" says Jacob.
"Boy,
what head are you thinking with?" asks Ted.
“You done
got hooked on some black pussy and now it’s so good you want to marry her! No
you are not!” exclaims Ted.
"Papa
why are you acting like this?" asks Jacob.
“She will
take you for all you have!” states Ted.
"She
doesn’t want my money!" Jacob exclaims.
“Don't be
naive boy. They all do. Hell, even your grandmother did,” says Ted.
“Dad, are
you going to interject?” asks Jacob.
"Son
three months is a short time. Just take some more time," says Jake.
"Hon,
can ya ask the guys to come on in for lunch?" asks Rebecca.
"Yes
Ma'am," says Samantha.
"There
are some boots on the back porch. Put those on because you'll never make it out
there in those there heels.”
