friends anymore, I didn’t ask for the details though.” Pop-Pop said taking Mykell from his thoughts.
“We need to stop by the club and holla at this nigga. I don’t like him nor do I trust him and now I’m wondering if he had anything to do with MJ.” Mykell spoke up saying his thoughts out loud.
    “You think so?” Micah asked.
“Yea, think about it. Him and Neicey get into it about something, she did or said something to piss him off. We all know she got a mouth on her, so to get back at her, he hit her and snatched MJ.”
“Nah, I don’t think he would do something like that.” Micah said
“How you figure?” asked an annoyed Mykell.
“Because me and him had a talk when she was in the hospital and I could tell that he had feelings for her on more than a friend level. He talked like she had his heart or he loved her or something. So i doubt that he would want to hurt her,” Micah saw the look his brother shot him. “But we can still go check him out.”
“I agree with Mack, he wouldn’t hurt her.” Lani spoke up for the first time. “The way he was by her side at when we got to the hospital, and when he didn’t want to leave when he found out who you were spoke volumes,”
Mykell couldn’t believe that they were talking about him like he was her boyfriend or something. “Y’all acting like y’all rooting for them to be in a relationship or something. Fuck that nigga and the feelings he got for her, she not going nowhere. And I’ma still go holla at this nigga, regardless.”
“Why am I the only person who don’t know who y’all talking about? My sister been hanging around this nigga for two years and I ain’t never met him, that doesn't sit right with me.” Ramone said.
“The only reason we met him is because he was by her side when she was in the hospital, I sent him home before you got there because him and Kell had some words.” Micah responded.
“Man, I don't give a fuck how deep his feelings are for her, she--” His father cut him off.
“Well you should care about how deep his feelings are for her. You don’t even care about your woman feeling so lonely to the point where she has to get attention from another man, you think that because she loves you she won't go anywhere but you’re wrong. You keep pushing her away until the point where you're going to push her right into his arms. Scratch that, you already pushed her into his arms, next it’s going to be his bed. That's what's wrong with you niggas these days, you get so caught up in these streets and these hoes that you forget to take care of home and expect your girl to always be there, then when she gets fed up and leaves, you wanna get mad and call her out her name. You better fix that shit before it’s too late. That girl up there loves yo stupid ass, no doubt about it but she’s tired and ain’t no telling how much longer she’s going to be around, when she leaves you won’t have anyone to blame but yourself. Now what you gon do?” Pop-Pop said sternly keeping it real with his son.
Sometimes Mykell hated that his father was an OG and was so wise but at the same time he never would steer him wrong. He just sat there and didn’t say another word. He knew his father was right and his pride was shot down.
Unbeknownst to them, Reneice was standing at the door listening to everything. She was happy that Pop-Pop spoke up on her behalf and actually understood her. She really did love Mykell but she was tired; tired of the lies and the cheating. She was almost at her breaking point; ready to throw in the towel. She lay down and turned Pandora on to drown everybody out, ‘Torn’ by LeToya Luckett came on and that’s exactly how she was feeling at the moment. She was torn between being with the one she loved or just leaving. She just laid there until she felt her eyes getting heavy.
After everything was said and done, Mykell went to check on Reneice. He opened the door to find her sleeping peacefully. He just
