throwing popcorn at Lani.
“Anyways, you know daddy beat Mykell ass for hitting you? I ain’t never seen daddy so mad.”
“Well he should have, messing around with me, you were about to be one brother short.”
La ni rolled her eyes, “Whatever mami, yo two just need to go ahead and kiss and makeup, like y’all always do.”
“Le’Lani, do not make me hurt you. I am not thinking about your brother. He can live happily ever after with Kya or one of them other hoes he fucking for all I care.”
“Girl you are crazy, you been holding it down for two years, you gon let them bitches win that easily?”
“What exactly are they winning Lani? Please tell me what the big prize is? He was with Kya’s hoe ass for seven years and look how he did her, I’m no different from her.”
“Girl don’t even compare yourself to her ass, you are totally different from her.” Lani said turning up her nose.”
    “And how is that.”
“ You living in his house, that bitch still in the hood. You work, that bitch just sits on her ass. You’re around his son 24/7, he don't even allow that bitch around MJ. He bought you a brand new Benz, that bitch still takes the bus. You’re classy, that bitch is a hoodrat from the heart. Do I really need to keep going or do you get the point.” Lani asked sarcastically.
“Fuck all that shit Lani, I must be lacking something because he sho is still messing with her rat ass, now am I right or am I right?”
Lani was about to say something smart before Ramone, Mykell, Micah and Pop-Pop walked through the door.
Reneice rolled her eyes at Ramone, he knew she didn’t want to be around Mykell. She got up from the couch to leave but Ramone’s voice made her stop in her tracks.
“Sit the hell down!” he said.
Reneice turned around and looked at him like he was crazy.
“Ladybug don’t make me ask you again.”
Defiantly she put her hands on her hip and replied, “What you gon do if I don’t? You gon hit me too?” she asked, without waiting for an answer before she walked off.
Lani was right on her heels.
“Stubborn ass!” Mykell yelled after her.
“I’ma go handle it, I’ll be back.” Ramone said heatedly.
“Chill Mone, I got this one.” Pop-Pop said getting up.
He went knocked on the guest bedroom door and Lani answered. “Let me talk to baby girl for a minute sweetie,”
Lani left the room. Reneice was sitting on the bed pouting. Pop-Pop walked over and sat on the bed next to her.
    “What’s wrong baby girl?”
“I’m tired of everybody treating me like I’m still a child. I’m 20 years old, I don’t need people putting their hands on me or chastising me like I’m two.”
“I understand , tell me about this other man that you were out with the day MJ got kidnapped.”
“He’s a very good friend of mine, well he was. He owns Club Xscape and I worked for him. Mykell is jealous of him because while he was too busy fucking up and sleeping with this hoe or that hoe, Kamil would listen to me and spend time with me when Mykell was too bu sy.”
    “Did you two sleep together?”
She looked Pop-Pop in the eyes and told him that she had never slept with Kamil. He knew she was telling the truth, he didn’t see any signs of deception from her. He knew his son had really messed up.
“ Alright baby girl,” he kissed her forehead. “I believe you.”
    *****
All eyes were on Pop-Pop when he walked back into the living room.
“I believe her when she said she hasn’t slept with him but the way she talked about him, she has some type of feelings for him. Sorry but I won’t be able to help you with this one son.”
She actually caught feelings for this nigga? Mykell thought.
He was feeling some type of way about that. It was something about that nigga that he didn’t like or trust from the very first day he seen him at the hospital. He was now wondering if he had anything to do with the kidnapping of his son.
“She did also tell me that they weren’t
