as I spoke.
“You said you guys dated?” Grace asked hesitantly, her fingers playing with the hem of her shirt.
“Yeah, on and off. Smith, too. I think we both wanted her, but neither of us was ever good enough for her, and we knew it. She deserved more, someone who could give her their heart. Neither of us was capable of that. She was cool with it. We had our fun, casual hook ups, whatever. She was wild and crazy and kept pace with us.” I stroked her hair as I took her on a walk down memory lane.
“She never wanted more from you?”
“I don’t know if I would say never. I think both of us wanted more at different times. She was never meant for me, to be anything more than my best friend.” I watched the shadows dance across the ceiling as the sun fully set.
“How do you know?” She sat up and looked me in the eye. Searching for an answer.
“I know because I hadn’t met you yet.” I kissed the tip of her nose, and she flopped back onto the pillow with a huge smile on her face. “You are the person I’m meant for. Like I said, we tried dating, but it never felt right. I love her, but not in the way I love you. I have never in my life felt like this for anyone. You know what I mean? Trying to make something work that just won’t?”
She nodded. “I had that with Scott, sort of. I wanted it to work, because he seemed like such a good guy. He had a great job, and he said he loved me. But even before all the cheating and putting me down, it felt off.” I joined her on the pillow and wrapped my arms around her. I wished so bad I could erase what he had done to her.
“It’s because we were destined to find each other.” I turned her lips toward me and crushed my mouth against hers. I needed her to feel what I had inside of me. To never doubt it.
She rolled to face me, her fingers twining themselves in my hair. “I don’t doubt it anymore. I know how you feel about me. I can see it every time you look at me. How could I ever doubt you, baby?” She brushed her lips against mine gently.
I pulled her shirt over her head and tossed it aside, my fingers sliding along her smooth skin. I followed the trail my fingers were on with my tongue. The little sounds she was making were going to drive me mad. She was so damn sexy.
“Logan,” she breathed when my fingers found her favorite spot.
    “You like that?” I growled.
    “Mmm.”
“Let go, Kitten. Just let me do all the work,” I said softly into her ear as I slid inside.
Perfect. Fucking perfect. I was a slave to her, a slave to my own demanding pleasure. I wanted her to feel it, to know what she did to me.
“I love you,” she sighed against my lips.

WEDDING TIME. FAITH AND I were in my hotel room dressed in fluffy white robes with a team of women making us look gorgeous. Logan said he and Smith wanted to show us off.
“Are you excited?” Faith asked as her hair was being piled on her head in an intricate up do. She had a glass of champagne in her hand. The boys had gone all out with the pampering.
“I am. I really like Shai, and I’m excited to meet some of Logan’s other friends. I’m also a little nervous, what if I’m not up to par?” I shifted in my seat and took a gulp of my champagne.
“Shut your mouth, Grace,” Faith scowled at me. “You’re a fucking knockout. Even if they don’t think so, why would you care? Have you seen the way Logan looks at you? I feel like a perv being in the same room with you two sometimes.” She laughed.
I knew what she meant. Sometimes Logan brought out the brazen side in me. I looked in the mirror at the unrecognizable woman who stared back at me. Smoky eyes and a braided up do gave me a very sophisticated sex bomb look.
After everyone left, Faith and I helped each other get dressed. Her gown was amazing, deep plum and a plunging neckline. It hugged her in all the right places.
“Smith is going to have a heart attack when he sees you in this.” I grinned at her as I smoothed
