warrior?”
“Oh, you plainly are. It might not be easy for you to see yourself, but you did fight valiantly and attack me with your spray, and you did fend off Duke Hyp's final attack on you. You may have the profession of a cleaner, but you also have the heart of a warrior.”
“Uh-huh.” She was not sure about that.“So was that Duke completely insane? Or did he have a point about what would happen if he showed the Emperor that I'm alien?”
“He did not have a point,” the Prince scoffed. “It was a crazy fantasy of his. No, my father the Emperor is mainly concerned about the future of the Empire. He has nothing against aliens as such, and he has sometimes said that he wants aliens to be closer associated with the government. And I think that my father will welcome you with open arms. That's his way. And it might be a way to tie our two civilizations together. No need for one to discover the other, just a mutual friendship that will be beneficial to both. Whatever I think about the space station I was at, I was certainly impressed by its cleanliness. I'm not worried about what anyone else will think. If I want to marry you, I will marry you.”
    “Provided I agree, of course.”
The prince glanced at her again, amused. “Of course. We must both want to, that's how we do it here. Is it similar on your planet?
“Yeah. The guy proposes, and the girl says yes or no. If it's no, well, that's it.”
“It seems our customs have much in common. My position on this is clear. You have both the soul and... hmm... body of an Imperial Princess. But your opinion of me may not be what I would wish it to be.”
“Only one way to find out.” She was not going to pre-approve anything here just because he was a royal. Crown Prince or not, he had to take a chance on this like every other man in love.
“Very well. Emily, will you marry me?”
It was getting brighter outside. The night was coming to an end, and the armored hover-car flew on over the surface of the planet, into the sunrise.

T he prince's residence was also a palace, but one that looked smaller and more modern than the Duke's in the warm dawn light. Ar'Ric took her straight to her bedroom because they both needed each other now.
The strong prince took Emily in his arms and had to bend down a little to kiss her. She put her arms lightly around him, feeling the muscles flex under her hands. The scent of him was intoxicating – it was exotic, but not too alien. It was fresh and clean and still complex and musky, and Emily felt that if he hadn't held her, she might have had to steady herself because she felt that her knees could give way. But he held her easily, his strength and size making her feel small and delicate.
She dropped the jacket he had given her and stood before him with only panties on. She looked up at him and almost had to smile at the expression on his face, so struck with wonder at what he was seeing. Then he smiled, showing even, white teeth, and the breath caught in her chest. He was beyond handsome; he was just magnificent.
He quickly shed his shirt, and the breath caught in her chest again. Was it even possible to have that many muscles? And that big? Still, the muscles looked like they were the result of a practical need and strenuous use, not just endless hours in the gym. There were scars here and there, probably from battles and war. He had survived all of them, even won most of them, she knew. Her hand traced a long scar on his chest, feeling the heat from his body and the smoothness of the skin. Ar'Ric gently put one hand on her chest, cupping a breast with his palm. She felt lines of fire shooting from her nipples to her clit.
“You are so close to my ideal woman it's almost unreal,” he said with a voice that was thick with arousal. “A woman should have a feminine shape like yours, not be dry and gaunt like twig.”
    “You don't like that?”
“A woman should be allowed to take any shape she wants. Of course I
