She sat up, tears on her cheeks, even now he was concerned about her. Heart swelling, she looped her arms around him from behind and kissed the side of his neck. Her lips curved against his skin. “Yeah, they do. You know what I say?”
“Hmmm?” His big hand moved hesitantly, covering hers on his chest.
“If it bites you, it’s yours.”
Then she nipped his neck, drew blood and claimed her alpha.
