boss. Another glass waited there, as well. “Yes. Thank you.”
Adrianna poured the wine and passed it across the desk to Diana, their fingers touching during the exchange. As soon as Diana took a sip, she knew she was tasting a very expensive and elegant Riesling. The sweet wine nearly tickled going down.
Her boss cast a polite smile. “I wanted the opportunity to spend a little private time getting to know you.”
Diana wasn’t sure what to say, so she simply nodded.
“Tell me about Baltimore,” the elegant woman said.
Taking another sip of wine, Diana made the requisite small talk, filling Adrianna in on having been raised in a suburb, her refurbished home in the city where she liked the hustle and bustle, and concluding with how much she enjoyed traveling for Adrianna, Inc., since it gave her the opportunity to get a taste of so many other places. “And now I can add Las Vegas to my list,” she ended with a smile.
“So you’re enjoying our little gambling den?” Adrianna asked with a light laugh.
“Very much,” she replied, and just the thought of Marc and how much she’d enjoyed him and his friends last night set her pussy to tingling again, unbidden.
“May I ask you a question that could be deemed personal, Miss Marsh?”
Diana sat up a bit straighter in her chair, surprised. “Um, sure. Certainly.”
“Do you wear our Adrianna products?”
She nodded. “Yes, I do.”
“And are you wearing them now?”
Another nod. “Yes.”
Adrianna gave her head a slight tilt. “May I ask which ones?”
Diana drew in her breath slightly. “Um, a bra and thong set from the Starlight Collection—in smoky indigo.”
“Lovely choice. May I see?”
Diana flinched. Had she heard that correctly?
In response, a sly little cat’s smile spread across Adrianna’s thin, pretty face. “My apologies, Miss Marsh—I can see I’ve caught you off guard, which was not my intention.” She shook her head, still looking as relaxed and pleasant as if they were discussing the weather. “I understand completely if my request made you uncomfortable. You’re certainly not obligated in any way to comply.” She gave her head a surprisingly friendly tilt. “It was unorthodox, and even out of line. I suppose I’m simply interested in which of my designs women choose, and why. It educates me to see my products on different body types. Very unprofessional behavior, though.” She held up her wine. “Clearly, I’ve had one too many after-lunch glasses of wine today. Forgive me.”
Diana was ninety-five percent sure the beautiful, elegant Adrianna had just attempted to seduce her. Her chest went hollow. “Nothing to forgive,” she said lightly. “And I can understand how it would be gratifying to see your lingerie on various women.”
Adrianna’s small smile somehow continued to seduce and intimidate Diana at the same time. “This company is my life, Miss Marsh. I’m thirty-four years old and I’ve spent the last twelve of those years building Adrianna, Inc. into what it is today. Hopefully you can understand if I appear a bit overzealous about it.”
“Of course,” Diana said, pushing up from her chair, suddenly uncomfortable making eye contact with her superior—it seemed too intimate. She took a few steps to one of the wide windows that overlooked downtown and Las Vegas Boulevard in the distance, biting her lip uncertainly, wondering what it would be like to be with a woman.
Certainly if she were attracted to women, Adrianna was a lovely female specimen with her long legs, high breasts, her smooth complexion, and those wide eyes with their long, black lashes. In fact, as she tried to envision what it would be like to fool around with Adrianna, her cunt went hot. And when she wondered how Marc would react to the idea, she felt herself swelling against her panties.
Still looking cool and sophisticated, Adrianna rose from her desk and approached Diana near the window. The woman stood close enough that
