The Arrival
Your girlfriend kidnaps you from work. A surprise for your birthday. She doesn’t tell you where you are going. She just shows up with a packed bag. She’s set everything up with your work and taken care of every detail. She tells you to sit back, relax and prepare to have the weekend of your life.
The plane lands hours later in Miami. You’ve never been there before but you always have wanted to visit. Another item on your list that got pushed down in priority.
She rents a convertible at the airport, and you drive to South Beach with the top down. Your friend flips on the radio and hot salsa music floods out of the speakers. The music and the heat of the sun on your face make you feel more alive than you have in months. The wind itself smells of freedom.
A few moments later you pull into a posh hotel across the street from a white sandy beach filled with almost-naked bodies glistening in the sun. She tells you the beach will be your first stop after you check in. You tell her you’re going to need a stiff drink first. She smiles, “That’s already been arranged.”
Sure enough, there’s champagne waiting for you in the hotel room. You sip the bubbly liquid while you stare out the window at the vast expanse of blue ocean laid out below.
“Time to change,” she says, “your bag’s in your room.”
The room itself is spacious and filled with luxurious fabrics. Suddenly giddy, you have an urge to take off all your clothes and roll around on the silken sheets. Instead, you open the suitcase and find that your friend not only packed for you, she also bought you a whole new vacation wardrobe. Flirty dresses and impossibly short skirts, a few tank tops, high heeled sandals, and a bikini that no woman your age should wear.
Your first reaction is an urge to close the suitcase, walk out the door, and go back to your safe life. To your comfortable life. Your boring job. Your responsibilities. Plus your man wouldn’t approve of you wearing that little red bikini in public.
A quiet voice in your heads whispers scandalous suggestions.
He’s not here. He’ll never find out. Live a little!

Ignore The Voice
What in the world has come over you? Five minutes in Miami and the heat is already affecting your brain. You grab a pair of shorts and the least revealing top from the bag and put them on. Before you go anywhere, you’re hitting the hotel gift shop for a sensible swimsuit.
You have a polite weekend with your best friend. You hit the spa and shop. You drink a little too much rum, but you definitely do not do anything scandalous. You return home with a sunburn and a few souvenirs. But you’ll always wonder what would have happened that one weekend in Miami if you’d let yourself go for once.

The Vixen Takes Over
You decide no one ever has to find out what you do this weekend. The possibilities are delicious.
You put on the bikini and take a few extra moments to admire yourself in the mirror. The years show on your skin. Your once-perky parts now sway with gravity. But your vixen encourages you to appreciate the positives. Like how the slim arcs of youth have blossomed into dangerous curves. You notice an extra sparkle in your gaze and a healthy flush to your cheeks, as well. Getting out of your normal routine seems to already agree with you.
Somewhere in the suite, your friend has found a stereo and spicy music pulses through the air. You give your hips an experimental shake. A deep laugh escapes your throat. The seductress that you’ve kept hidden for so many years winks at you from
