it odd to get turned on by the sound of sex right next to me? How the hell could anybody not be turned on?
    The car’s rocking sped up.
“Fuck yeah!” he roared. “Take it all. God damn you!”
I closed my eyes, happy that they were almost done.
Vicky giggled. Movement rustled behind me.
I tapped my toe on the leather floor mat. I’ll give them a minute or so and then I’m waking up Jude so we can go. I’ll just have to convince him to let me drive.
Vicky coughed and made a big show of spitting over the edge of the car, which made me uncomfortable. Or maybe I was just disgusted by her giving a public blow job, or by Kaden watching me the whole time, or by my own fit of voyeurism.

Chapter 9
    Indecent Proposal
W HEN I D ECIDED enough time had passed, I fumbled with the door handle and escaped.
“Wait, Rainbow.” The sound of Kaden zipping up his jeans sounded behind me.
“I’m waking up Jude.” I made sure to not turn back around and see him doing anything else.
“Let him sleep. I’ll call us all a cab. Just chill out, Rainbow.”
How can he call me Rainbow after he just had his dick out? No wonder Jude is always stepping over people’s boundaries. He never learned them from his dad.
“Okay. Just yell for me when the cab comes. I’m going to take a walk over…there.” I hurried off.
    A car door banged. “Rainbow.”
Oh God. If he thinks we’re going to talk like regular people, seconds after he came, then he’s dead wrong. At least give me a few minutes to get over the uneasiness of it.
    “Rainbow?”
    “Yes.” I continued moving forward.
    “Hold up.”
    “Why?”
He captured my arm. “Come on, give me a minute.”
I gestured to his hold on me. “Seriously? You don’t find this weird at all?”
“Me grabbing your arm, or shooting a load into Vicky’s mouth in front of you?”
“Oh God! Let go of me.”
“I’m sorry. Should I have said something more romantic?” He let me go and followed me as I rushed off.
“I’d rather you give me a few minutes to process what just happened.” Sand skittered under my feet as I marched toward the shoreline. Cool water washed over my toes. Being this close to the water gave me the opportunity to lose myself in watching the sea. And that’s what I hoped to do—escape beneath the waves and forget what had just happened.
After a minute of silence, Kaden broke it. “You’re so dramatic.”
    I ignored him.
“You have your legs wide open, close to being taken by my son on the hood of his car, right in front of me—”
“I didn’t know you were behind me.”
    “Sure you didn’t.”
I ceased from walking. “Are you trying to say I did?”
“Fine, you didn’t.” He placed his glasses over his eyes. My glasses.
“I didn’t know you were behind me!”
“Okay. Okay.” He raised his hands in the air. “But you have to admit that you stared at me while Vicky sucked me off.”
    I glared at him.
“Just admit it and I’ll leave you alone.”
“I kind of looked for a minute,” I muttered.
“What was that?” He cupped his ear and leaned my way. “I can’t hear you, Rainbow.”
“Yes. I watched, and stop calling me Rainbow while we discuss you and blow jobs.” The more I walked, the deeper my feet sank into the sand, and water pooled around my feet. It soaked the bottom of my jeans.
“I bet it made you wet.”
I flinched like he’d slapped me. “When I got into the car, why didn’t you stop?”
“Stop what?” He quirked his eyebrows. “I hope you don’t mean stop getting a blow job. It’s damn near impossible when she’d been sucking on me for that long.”
    Disgusting.
“Why didn’t you stop looking?” he asked.
Because I was horny and you’re hot and most women’s fantasy, including mine. And clearly I’m just as sick and perverted as you. Anybody with an ounce of decency would have fled from the car, right?
“For the record, watching Vicky give you a blow job was not tantalizing at all. It was
