tongue. “Asshole over there didn’t seem to care too much about her party.
“ Hey, I care, I went and bought our present already, and she is going to love it. I just hate having parties where we have to dress up and shit. Makes me feel like we are on parade.”
Orfeo laughed, "Do not worry, all has been done to our specifications. She does not suspect a thing. We are a go for Friday night. Tripp, we will talk later about what you will be wearing."
"Good, spank his ass, Orfeo. By the way, we have already talked about going shopping and have asked Fredi to go as well. I can keep her away most of the day and then I thought we would have an early dinner in town. That should throw her off the scent, pardon the pun,” Jax said with a giggle.
"That sounds great, we will meet you in town for dinner then,” Tripp said with a glare. “Just like we have planned over and over again for the last few months, it’s not like it’s anything new.”
"Brin, kick his ass,” Jax laughed. “This is going to be so much fun!” Jax said as Dante hugged her to him as Brin stepped in behind.

Cat sat down and looked across the kitchen table at Fredi. “Thank you so much, I've been looking forward to having some more of your fondue. This will be the extra special treat to serve my men tonight."
"You're welcome, I'm glad I could help,” Fredi said as she took another sip of her tea. She didn’t want to be rude, but if she had allowed Cat to do this herself, her precious recipe would have turned out to be disgusting. Fredi cleared her throat and said, "I'm usually a coffee drinker but this tea is delicious, what kind is it?"
"It's a special blend that the Fae made for me,” Cat said with a small secret smile on her face. Fredi was learning quickly that when she had that smile, something was up.
They both turned toward the doorway to the kitchen as Jax breezed in. "Anymore tea left?” She walked over to where Cat pointed, poured herself a cup, and joined them at the table. “What did I miss?"
Cat laughed. "We were just talking about the tea. Where have you been?"
"What? I had to go to the bathroom, is that a crime?” Jax rolled her eyes.
"Anything you want to share?” Cat said, leaning toward her with her eyebrows raised.
Fredi cleared her throat. "I feel like the odd man out here. What am I missing?"
"Nothing on my end, yet,” she said and took a sip of her tea. It was Jax's turn to raise her eyebrows and smile smugly. "Why, Cat, this tea is delicious, but you don't drink tea, only coffee. Is there anything YOU would like to share?"
Cat looked very serious as she glanced around the room, making sure they were alone. Then she turned back and leaned forward, as if she was telling a secret, and smiled widely. "Well, I might have something to say, but if I did I would tell my mates first, then tell you. So I will say that this tea is wonderful and it was so kind of the Fae to make it special for me."
Just as she finished speaking, Jax squealed loudly and jumped up to hug Cat. Fredi looked back and forth between the two women and her confusion must've shown as Jax began to laugh and said, "Cat is pregnant!"
"Shh! I don't want anyone else to hear,” Cat said with a huge grin on her face as she admonished Jax while accepting a congratulatory hug from Fredi.
"Congratulations,” Fredi told her as they all sat back down.
"Thanks. I am so excited. I just found out for sure yesterday and planned a special evening tonight to tell Orfeo and Tripp," Cat said, going back to cutting the meats and veggies for the fondue she prepared. The bread was already done for the appetizer; it would be dipped in the rich four-cheese fondue. Then she had various meats, diced up to dip in the broth she was making, but next would be the dessert fondue, and Fredi agreed to just make that one, because it was a bit more difficult working with chocolate. Who knew you could burn it so fast , she thought, and shrugged.
"They are going to be so
