Chapter One: Road Rage
It’d taken her one second of inattention; one second spent staring at the man driving in the right lane.
One second of screaming inwardly because she’d recognized him and oh my god, there was Kevin McIntyre in the car next to hers!
Then the car in front of her had braked, she’d only noticed at the last possible second and had swerved to avoid it. She’d rammed into the one car she’d been so intently staring at instead.
They parked out of the way of the traffic, trucks speeding past them. She felt herself start to blush when her fantasy-came-to-flesh slid out of his car with a wince, his eyebrows drawn together.
Oh, she felt a shiver run up her back. He was striding towards her, his green eyes flashing. He might have only been wearing a black wifebeater and some beat-up jeans but he still looked hot. Her eyes took a tour of his body, loving the scuffed brown boots, the heavy leather watch wrapped around his left wrist and the earring twinkling in his right ear. Since when had he started wearing earrings again?
The thought left her as he stopped in front of her and opened his mouth, “What the fuck was that?”
“I got distracted, I’m-“
He cut her off, “You got distracted? Is that your excuse, lady?”
“Uhm, yeah?”
“That’s not fucking good enough!” She winced at his swearing. “This car is a rental! Do you see the state it’s in now? Do you?”
She did as ordered and took a glance at the car behind him. The whole left side was scraped, the back door looking bent. Not sure he could open that door again. Oops.
“I’m sure my insurance will cover the costs.” She tried to reassure him and herself.
“I don’t care about money! It’s the fucking principle! How did you even get a license?”
“I went to DMV and-“
“I can’t fucking believe this.” He grabbed his head in both hands.
“I’m sorry, Kevin. I promise I’ll pay for the damages. I’m really-“
“What did you call me?”
“Uhm, Kevin? That’s your name after all, right?”
He stared at her, “How do you know my name?”
She bit her lower lip before finally admitting, “I’m a fan.”
“Of course, you are,” he sighed. “Let me guess, you were watching me and not where you were going.”
“Maybe.” She fidgeted under his stare.
“Fuck,” he swore once again, making her wonder if he was like this on a daily basis.
She wasn’t sure she could live with someone who cursed that much. I mean, think of the children!

“Whatever. Do you even understand what you’ve done? And for what? Because I was in the car next to yours?”
She gasped at his words. Mostly because he was right. “Oh come on, it’s not my fault. You were sitting there and you looked-“
“It’s not your fault?” He erupted before she could finish her explanation. “Are you fucking kidding me?
You rammed into me, lady!”
“Yes but-“
“No, no.” He waved his hand in the air. “Let me guess! You’re a fan so that makes it all better!” Her mouth opened but nothing came out. The damn man was making fun of her! “What, nothing to say now?” he taunted her.
She knew she should have been upset with his behavior but really, he looked so hot. She’d always loved a pissy Kevin and that was just plain perfect. Of course, usually in her dreams, he’d sweep her off her feet and would carry her to his car/house/anywhere and have his way with her. Her face heated as she realized she hadn’t heard a word he’d said in the past five minutes, too focused on her fantasy of him hiking up her skirt and pushing inside her.
“Have you listened to a freaking word I’ve said?”
“Uhm, no?”
