closed her eyes and savored each sound, every touch.
Jed’s movements grew faster, more frantic as he pounded into her. His hips slapped against her bottom. His balls brushed against her clit. She arched back to meet each thrust, unable to believe how close to coming she was again.
“Almost there,” he groaned and quickened his pace. He released her breasts, grabbed her hips and held on tight. He slammed into her over and over, driving deep.
It felt so good. Impossibly good. Maggie knew it couldn’t last. A second later she felt her entire core clench around his cock. She screamed as her orgasm slammed into her. Jed yelled. She felt his shaft spasm inside her and knew he was coming.
Maggie lost herself in the heat, the hard clutch of her body, the rhythmic pulls and releases. She shuddered and collapsed facedown on the bed. Jed managed to pull out of her before falling next to her, his face a scant inch from hers.
Gasping for breath, Maggie closed her eyes. Jed’s arm wrapped around her, tugging her into the curve of his body. She was sweaty and sticky, and knew she had to get cleaned up. And she would. Just as soon as she caught her breath.
Chapter Eight
Maggie shivered. Cool air brushed her skin, sending goose bumps skating over her arms. Had she fallen asleep with the window open?
A muscular arm held her against an equally hard chest. Memory returned with a rush and Maggie’s eyes shot open. She was lying naked on top of her bed. She and Jed had just had the most amazing sex and she’d come—she had to stop and count—three times. Incredible.
The corners of her mouth turned up as satisfaction filled her. Her ex had always complained because she’d had a hard time actually having an orgasm during intercourse. She hadn’t had any problems with Jed.
It seemed all it took was the right man.
Another shiver went through her. The right man . What was she thinking? This was sex, not a relationship. She was adult enough that she could enjoy a sexual encounter without turning it into something it wasn’t. She opened her eyes, blinking as she looked at the bedside lamp. The red candle sat there, taunting her.
The spell they’d cast in Rhiannon’s garden had originally been planned for a lover, but at the last second her friend had changed it to a true love. How had it gone again?
Lady Moon in the sky so bright. Lend your power. Lend your might. Bring to us a love that’s true. And one that one day we won’t rue. In this time and in this hour, we three ladies ask this of thee. We ask this done and harm to none, what we have wrought here now is begun .
The words popped back into her head. She could feel the cool air in the garden, hear the low sound of Rhiannon’s voice growing stronger as she chanted. The swirl of the wind as it whipped around their clothing, the light from the moon.
“Are you okay?” Jed propped himself up on one arm and leaned over her.
She nodded, not wanting to talk about magick. All she wanted to do right now was to recapture the warm glow of moments before. “I’m okay.” She reached up and touched the side of his face, feeling the light stubble on his jaw. “I’m better than okay.”
Jed smiled slowly and his golden eyes warmed. “You certainly are.” His hand settled on her waist and then slid down to cup her hip.
Her eyes widened. “Again?” The word popped out of her mouth before she could stop herself.
Jed laughed, the sound warm and intimate. “I’d like that, but you’re probably feeling a bit sore.”
Maggie began to notice the twinges in her body. And not only the minor aches and pains, but the fact that she was sweaty and sticky too. “I need a shower.”
“Care to share?” He traced a finger between her breasts before veering off to the right and slowly circling one puckered areola.
Words deserted her and she licked her suddenly dry lips. She’d never showered with a man before. “I thought you said…” She broke off, not quite knowing how to
