her bathroom endeavor if she didn’t erase
its scent before she returned to face the three werewolves with
their enhanced sense of smell.
Who am I kidding? There’s no way
they could have missed the smell of me of getting horny at
dinner . Sometimes being a werewolf sucked
because it made hiding involuntary bodily reactions
impossible. But it doesn’t mean I’ve
changed my mind, no matter what my body thinks. Her wolf stirred in her mind, reminding her of its feelings on
the matter. Fine, my wolf doesn’t have a
problem with the whole mating thing. But too bad. I’m the one in
charge.
Hands dried, she could still smell herself,
smell the heat. She peered down at her crotch with a sigh. She
grabbed some tissue, scrubbing her pussy to erase the signs of her
arousal. Her vigorous rubbing, though, didn’t help the situation.
With a curse, she pulled up her pants only to come in contact with
her damp panties.
She wrinkled her nose. Eew! But with no choice
because she sure as hell wasn’t going to remove them, she bore it
and buttoned her pants. She took one last peek in the mirror and
almost didn’t recognize herself. Her cheeks were flushed, her eyes
bright and heavy-lidded—all in all she had an “I’m horny” look.
Maybe they wouldn’t notice.
With one last deep breath, she went back out
and met Nathan’s knowing grin.
“ Everything okay in there?” he asked
with an arched brow.
“ Fine,” she muttered, dropping her
gaze.
“ If you need help with anything , let me know. I’d be more than happy to oblige.” He
made his meaning clear, and annoyed at one of the causes of her
confusion—and arousal—she slugged him in the stomach and left him
gasping for air before returning to the dining area.
They’d cleared the table during her
interrupted make-out session with herself and set it with a tray of
evil-looking desserts, fluffy cream-filled pastries that
screamed, Eat me!
Maybe I’ll just have a bite of one
before I go to my room.
John and Kody stood at her approach, and she
bit her lip not to laugh as she noted them covering their groins.
Out of fear or something else?
She sat down and immediately reached for a
treat. She popped it into her mouth and bit down. She closed her
eyes at the taste. Sweet, heavenly pleasure. The sugar melted on
her tongue in a burst of flavor that made her groan. She savored it
slowly and opened her eyes to grab another, but before she could
move, she found three held out in front of her face.
Startled, she grabbed one and tried to curb her
enthusiasm for the dessert, but it was hard, because not only did
the second one taste just as freaking good, all three men were
eyeing her with extreme hunger. She licked her lips clean and
shivered when Nathan growled.
    “ What’s your problem?” she
asked.
    His eyes glittered. “Stop teasing.”
She frowned. “I’m just eating the
dessert.”
John cleared his throat, drawing her attention.
“I think what he means to say—”
“ Is you are one freaking hot lady,”
interrupted Kody with green eyes that glowed with
interest.
“ When you eat that, all I can think
of is you eating my—”
He never did finish his sentence because Nathan
dove over the table and hit Kody, taking them both to the floor.
Dana watched them tussling on the floor with her mouth
open.
“ What the fuck are they doing?” she
exclaimed.
“ Training exercise to work off
dinner,” John replied, helping her from her seat. “Ignore
them.”
“ I intend to. Boys,” she said with a
disgusted snort.
John linked her arm in his and led her away
from the grunts and smacks of the fight, but she couldn’t help
craning back to watch.
John tried to divert her attention. “I think
you should get some rest. It’s been a long day, and you’re still
recovering.”
Dana almost said, I’m fine , but kept her
mouth shut, the words caught in her throat because, in the midst of
the impromptu battle, shirts were getting torn, and the sight went
beyond
