good food.
    “Sorry guys, I’m nearly done.”
They have been sitting in my café for five hours now, just waiting for me to finish. They took breaks coming and going, and they did a lot of work on the computer trying to find out more information on the island where all the drug lords and traffickers are located. I gave Jagger the copy of coordinates and he has been working furiously to try and find out what the hell is going on.
“No problems, we’re happy to be here.” Ace grins, tucking into his BLT.
“Half an hour more and we’re done.”
They both nod and I go back to serving. I’m at the counter putting a payment through the till when someone says my name in a smooth, silky tone.
    “Well, hello babe.”
Babe. Christ. I look up into the eyes of Mick, Jagger’s father. Magic.
“What are you doing here?” I snap.
In the light of day, Mick is even more attractive. His raven black hair is plaited over his shoulder and hangs down in a thick bind over his chest. His blue eyes are bright, clear and devastating. His body is hard, firm and I can see the line of tattoos up his arm and across his bare shoulders. He’s wearing a singlet.
“I wanted to say hello to my sweet daughter in law, nothing wrong with that?”
“Don’t pretend you’re here to play nice with me, I’ve got no interest in talking with you.”
“Come on willow, you’re judging me before you even get to know me. I didn’t think you were so shallow.”
    “I’m not…”
“Can’t a man want to see his own kids?”
    “Well, yes, I just…”
“Are you going to offer me a coffee?”
I smirk, and it’s not nice, “If you pay for it, sure.”
“Oh I’ll pay, don’t you worry about that.”
I start up the coffee machine, feeling uneasy.
“Did you talk to my son?”
“Yeah, she fuckin’ spoke to me!”
I hear the whip of Jagger’s voice and watch as his father turns and stares at his son, who’s standing with his arms crossed across his chest. Uh oh, Jagger looks pissed.
“Johnny my boy, lookin’ well, it’s been a long time son. Have you missed daddy?”
Jagger swings his fist so quickly I nearly miss it. His father is launched off the ground and slammed into the counter. Screams erupt around the shop and I feel my eyes widening. Angel and Ace leap up and rush over, pulling Jagger back. His father stands and the grin on his face is all but pleasant.
“My boy can still fight, good to know.”
“You get the fuck outta here before I kill you, fuckin’ bastard!” Jagger roars.
Everyone in the shop is silent now. Jagger looks over the counter at me and I know I look like a deer in the headlights. I’ve seen Jagger fight, but I never realized how lethal he truly is. His angry glare burns through me and then he turns back to his father.
“Get the fuck out, she’s of no use to you.”
His father smirks, “Maybe in your opinion.”
    “LEAVE!”
His father swipes his bloody face once more, smirks, then turns and walks out of the cafe. Jagger spins around and tears past the gate blocking off the counter. He grips my arm and hurls me out of the café before my boss can even mutter a word. He pulls me down the street angrily; Ace and Angel follow behind not saying a word. When we reach the complex, he pulls me into the apartment and slams the door.
When he spins on me, I can see pure rage in his eyes and I try desperately to pull my arm from his . He’s panting, but it’s then I realize it isn’t at me. I’ve seen Jagger angry at me, and this isn’t it. He’s angry, but it’s obviously over his father. I reach out and take his hand gently.
“Did he do anything to you?”
    I shake my head. “No.”
    “ God Willow, he’s after you and I don’t like that…”
“I don’t know what he wants me for.” I whisper.
Jagger shakes his head, and runs his fingers through his hair. His knuckles are swelling, God the poor thing. “I need to go out, something is going down, he’s not here to make things
