cross her arms over her chest, glaring at them.
“Erin—” Both Boone and Chase lifted a hand to silence her.
“We want to hear whatever it is that your sister needs to say to us,” Boone told her, glancing at her briefly before turning his attention back to Erin.
“Which one of you is the father of my future niece or nephew?” Erin demanded.
Chase frowned at her. “We both are.”
Erin narrowed her eyes at them. “Rachel tells me that the two of you share her. Is that true?”
    Boone nodded. “Yes ma’am.”
    “Why?”
Oh God. She should have known Erin would do this. “Erin—”
“My brother and I both love your sister,” Chase began. “We’ve always shared women, but we never fell in love until we met Rachel.”
Rachel watched nervously as Erin regarded both men. “According to Rachel, there is a lot of that in this town. Do the men in this town have a lot of trouble pleasing a woman on their own?”
Chase and Boone roared with laughter, and Erin narrowed her eyes at them. “No ma’am,” Chase chortled.
Rachel felt her face burn as Erin looked over at her. “That good, huh?” She turned back to the men. “Are either one of you going to marry her?”
    “Yes.”
    “No,” Rachel said.
Erin scowled at her sister’s answer. “Why don’t you want to marry one of them?”
Rachel ignored the men’s dark looks. “I’m not getting married.”
Erin ignored that and turned back to the men. “You both can’t marry her, you know.”
“She’ll legally be married to me,” Boone told her. “The oldest male is the one that marries the woman they share but everyone already knows that she belongs to both of us.”
Erin eyed Chase. “What if you decide to get married in the future?”
Chase’s face tightened. “I’d consider myself just as married to Rachel as my brother. I don’t cheat.”
Erin regarded him for several long seconds. Apparently satisfied with what she saw, she turned back to Rachel.
“So why won’t you marry them?”
Rachel glared over to where Boone and Chase stood with their arms folded over their chests, smiling smugly, obviously realizing that Erin had become their ally on the subject of marriage.
“They don’t love me,” Rachel told her sister. “They only want to marry me because of the baby.”
“They’re liars?” Erin gasped in mock horror.
“No. I didn’t say that.” Rachel avoided looking at Boone and Chase’s smug faces.
“Sure you did,” Erin replied easily. “They just told me, right to my face, that they love you. Are you telling me that it’s not true?”
Rachel sighed. “They only think they love me. It’s really just because of the baby.”
Erin nodded wisely. “So they’re stupid.”
Rachel opened her mouth to deny it and saw the looks of glee on the men’s faces. “Yeah, that’s right. They are.”
Rachel smiled when the looks of superiority became glares of promised retribution.
Erin laughed. “Good to know. But they do have big bulging muscles, and I need some help with my things.”

    Chapter 7

Thanks to Boone and Chase’s help, the next two busy weeks passed by smoothly. They helped Erin move all of her belongings into Rachel’s old apartment above the lingerie store. They moved furniture, putting everything just the way Erin wanted it and did everything they could to help her get settled. During this time her sister and her lovers got to know each other better. Boone and Chase both soon became very protective of their future sister-in-law.
One night after dinner, Boone and Chase got into a conversation with Erin about the town and the rules that people lived by in Desire.
For the first time in Rachel’s life she saw her sister speechless.
“Let me get this straight,” Erin managed when she finally found her voice. “The two of you consider yourselves my protectors?”
Chase grinned at her. “Yes ma’am.”
Erin laughed. “I don’t need anybody to protect me. Thanks
