Blueprint for Love

deep against her slick walls. Ronnie gasped, welcoming the fullness
she felt. She arched against his finger, the muscles of her vagina
gripping, pulsating, craving his touch. Vic kept up a steady
rhythm, relentlessly fondling her, until seconds later, she
shuddered against his hand as she climaxed.

Ronnie sat in the stakeholder’s meeting
listening to her clients discuss the status of the new mall outlet
project. Work was on schedule. Everything was going according to
plan. The business was fine. Her personal life, however, was a
bubbling cauldron of confusion. She was still trying to sort out
what had happened between her and Vic. She’d been avoiding him for
over a week. She wanted nothing more than to finish what they’d
started in the trailer last weekend. But she knew that was
dangerous thinking. Nothing good could come from her fornicating
with Vic Romano. The sad thing was, the more she tried to put him
out of her mind, the more she wanted him.
She squeezed her legs together thinking
about the earth-shattering orgasm she’d had. She’d cried out and
clung to him, practically collapsing in his arms, but he’d held her
tight, sweeping her into his embrace and carrying her the short
distance to the sofa in the trailer. She still remembered the words
he’d whispered in her ear.
    “ I’m sorry to disappoint
you, Ronnie. I didn’t know you were coming, or else I would have
been prepared. You can be sure I won’t make that same mistake
twice.”
Ronnie was far from disappointed. Vic had
just rocked her world and he was apologizing? Even now, her heart
hammered thinking of how he’d played her body like a fine
instrument. Plucking, strumming, and tuning her in all the right
places.
    She shook her head.
You’re just horny, girl. It’s been six years
since you got laid. At this point, any dick would feel good.
But she hadn’t had any dick yet. Vic’s
tongue was amazing. She shuddered to think how it would feel to
have him fully inside her.
After he’d licked her to orgasm, he told her
he had an appointment. She hated herself for wondering who he was
meeting. She wasn’t the jealous type. Or at least she’d never been
in the past.
“ I stopped by the site the
other day,” Wyatt, an older sandy-haired stakeholder announced,
intruding on Ronnie’s erotic thoughts. “Fella named Vic Romano
showed me around.”
Ronnie’s head snapped up at the mention of
Vic’s name. Her pulse ran wild. Her palms were sweating.
Candace spoke up. “Vic’s one of our crew
leaders. I don’t know where we’d be without him. He’s proven
himself to be a valuable asset.”
Ronnie smiled. Both of her sisters had been
on ‘Team Vic’ since Gabe’s party.
“ I must tell you,” Wyatt
said, peering through his horn-rimmed glasses, “I was not so
impressed with the foreman, Kent Sanders. The guy seemed like a
bumbling idiot. Made me wonder about the quality of work being
done.”
She’d heard Vic say the same thing about
Kent. This was an important client for Three Sisters. Ronnie
couldn’t have them questioning the integrity of their hiring
decisions. She didn’t know what drove her to say it, but she
blurted out, “I’ve decided to replace Kent with Vic.”
Wyatt nodded with approval. “I’d sure feel a
helluva lot better if you did.”
    “ Well then,” Candace
confirmed. “That settles it. Vic’s in. Kent’s out.”
Marlowe added, “If there are no objections
from anyone, let’s make the change immediately.”
Such was the beauty of owning a small
company. No red tape. The sisters made a decision, and it was
implemented. Just like that, Vic was promoted from crew leader to
foreman.
Ronnie didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
She’d made the decision. Now, she had to tell Vic. That meant
they’d be working much closer with each other. But he deserved this
promotion. Their personal relationship should have no bearing on
the exemplary work Vic was doing.
