the west side crew sat to my left which was Alex, Diontae, and Huff then there was Jamiya’s hyphy ass crew that included Ariel, Kash, Izz, Pam, and Dudda and lastly, there was Big Tank. He was Uncle Ken’s nigga from back in the day. He was the big homie and our eyes and ears in the streets. He knew who was making moves, who was plotting on who and most importantly, he knew who and what was on the law enforcement’s radar. It was a lot easier to get money and get it right when you had your big homie out there looking out for you. He was tapped in with all the OGs in the surrounding hoods, so if he didn’t know about something that was going on, it didn’t take him long to find it out.
“So what’s up with this shit that happened at the bowling alley the other night between y’all niggas and them PG niggas from the City?” I asked, pointing at Jamiya and her crew of knuckleheads. Nobody responded. “Don’t all you niggas speak at once,” I said calmly while lighting one of the blunts I had just rolled.
“Man, see this what had happened…” I looked up and hit the blunt as I motioned for Izz to continue. “…you know I got a few peoples in the City. I fuck around out there on the regular with my HP niggas and my bitch from Bayshore. So niggas know I keep the soft on deck. We go out there to hang and niggas see me and start trying to tap in. I ain’t turning down no money so I serve the niggas and gon’ bout my business, shit. So like an hour later, I run dry and I guess them niggas peeped I was making moves and decided to try and get on me.”
I passed Greg the blunt and shook my head because trouble forever followed their asses. “So what they do? They approached you trying to holla or what?” I asked.
“Hell nah. I stepped outside to call my bitch and soon as I hit the corner to come back inside, them niggas rocked up on me three deep. So the one nigga fires on me and we going blows then they try and jump me. By then, I guess Kash and them peep the play and come out. So now it’s like six of us on the three of them, security come and breaks the shit up and we go our separate ways.” Izz paused and picked up his cup of syrup and took a sip.
“So who let off shots first is what I want to know?” I asked, looking at Kash because he was the hot head out of all of them.
“Bruh, them niggas had come creeping up the block as we were at the light and started busting. Honestly, we barely got a shot off. The City ain’t our territory and you know 5-0 be lurking so we just got the fuck up out of there.” Kash using his hands as he talked.
“Okay, so do you know them niggas?” I asked Izz since he was in the City on the regular.
“Nah, but my cousin said he know who they are and where they be. Said the niggas was talking big shit the other day like it’s whatever.”
I sat and thought for a minute, we didn’t have time to be fonkin’ with niggas over some shit that was small change. This shit needed to be put to rest before it got out of hand. There was too much other shit to be worried about at the moment. These niggas weren’t coming for our money or our blocks so they were irrelevant. “Aight, let them talk for now and can you stay your ugly ass out the City for a while, please?” I asked.
Izz shook his head and I hoped that his hard headed ass was going to listen.
“So besides that, are there any other issues that I should be aware of?” I asked. Looking around at everybody, I lit a second blunt waiting on somebody to speak.
“Oh yea!” Pam yelled out. Pam was ghetto as hell; she was from West Oakland and didn’t take any shit. She was the type of broad that got into a fight wherever she went because she said what she felt and had no regard for anybody’s feelings. She had this dark, silky skin and thick, curly natural hair with high cheekbones, hazel eyes and a big butt but her waist was non-existent. Pam was Eritrean and super pretty but she loved to fight.
    “What’s up,
