At quick pace, the slightly larger Drak ship weaves
in and out of pockets of turbulent and volatile gases, shaking wildly with each
wall struck.
Destroyers are powerful ships, but slower than the

The Drak vessel attempts to close the distance by
plowing through damaging clouds and debris.
The Alliance exploration cruiser makes its way
through the cloud at a faster pace, but takes care not to trip into the nebula
walls, slowing their progression.
Little by little, the two ship’s strategies allow
the Drak to make headway.
However, the head start of The Wayfarer will allow
the explorers to exit the cloud sooner than the Drak will catch-up.
The Wayfarer enters open space and sets a course to

casualties.
One by one, each station across the ship calls-in to

“No casualties on any decks and only minor damage
from the nebula,” the security officer reports to Commander Asim.
“Good, we can be on our way then,” Commander Asim
notes.
Logan walks onto the bridge and asks, “Did all of
the shuttles make it back safely?”
Commander Asim turns his head toward Logan.
“Yes,” he replies before looking back to the console
on his armchair, “All shuttles reported-in and no casualties reported. The ship
suffered a little damage because of the nebula, but nothing serious. Oh, and we
have a few new guests.”
“Thank you Commander,” Logan says as he begins to
leave the bridge.
“I’ll be in the science lab examining the artifacts
we were able to recover, before the incident, if you need me,” he informs the
Commander as he steps onto the lift.
“Understood,” responds Commander Asim.

oblivious demeanor to his comment about ‘new guests.’
