    He moaned and stayed deep, not moving. “God, Terra,” he said, eyes shut with the pleasure. Then he opened them and held her gaze with his dark blue eyes blazing. “I want you like this… forever.”
    Her wolf leaped for joy, but her heart barely had time to register what he’d said before he pulled back and thrust again, hard and deep. Her wolf and his would be singing to each other. She almost had that with Jaxson, although she never got close enough to him to find out if her wolf’s whimperings were justified. If he was truly for her. And it turned out, he wasn’t.

    Kaden was quiet for a minute, just stroking her hair and breathing it in. Then he said, “Terra, I need to tell you now before this goes much further.”
    Her heart seized up, but she forced herself to pull back and meet his gaze.
    It was so tender, it almost broke her heart.
    He ran a thumb along her cheek. “God, you are so beautiful.”
    She smiled. “Is that really what you wanted to tell me?”
    He frowned. “No.” Then he struggled for a moment, and said, “I have a secret. No one knows. Like, literally no one. But I have to tell you because… because of this.” He let his gaze drop to her bare breasts pressing against his chest.
    She just nodded, afraid to speak.
    He swallowed. “Everyone thinks I’m human… but I’m not.”
    Her eyes went wide. “You’re a wolf.”
