voice boomed from behind her.
                "That's Eric's sub, Amy, and he won't share, so don't ask," Kali said flatly. "So how are you today, Thomas?"
                Thomas answered, "Fine," and then he and Kali's voices went distant. Amy no longer heard them. She wanted Eric to come back. Was Emily begging him to take her back? What could that woman possibly want with him? They were over - they had been for over a year according to Eric. Eric promised not to leave her and yet he had, even though Mistress Kali was proving to be a good deterrent to any Doms looking at Amy as if she were fresh meat. 
                "What did I miss?" Amy look up so quickly something pulled in her neck. It wasn't Eric standing there; it was Brad who had replaced the Dom named Thomas. For some reason it seemed really strange seeing him here even though she knew he was involved with the club, too.
                "We're waiting for the Shibari demonstration and Eric is dealing with Emily," Kali told him and gave Amy another wink.
                Brad took Eric's chair and sat down. "You alright?" he asked Amy.
                She nodded. "I'm fine. I've got wine."
                With a laugh he leaned over to Kali and asked her something.
                Kali shrugged. "I don't know, probably begging him to take her back. Fascinating how she only saw fit to do that the first time she catches Eric with someone else. She's a skanky bitch."
                He asked her something else.
                Kali shook her head then asked Amy, "She didn't say anything to you, did she?"
                Amy shook her head. "Nope."
                "Well here he comes, I guess we'll find out?" Brad said.
                Eric let out a sigh and shook his head as he approached the table. Instead of asking Brad to move he took the chair on Amy's right. "Sorry about that," he told her.
                She shrugged, not wanting to let him know how much she hated that he'd left her to go talk to his ex. But she wasn't going to hold it against him. It was what it was and he likely would have had to deal with Emily sooner or later. That was the thing with ex's. Especially if things were left unresolved. She mused that she'd probably have to deal with her own ex-drama eventually. She shoved the thought of Paul out of her mind. 
                "So what did the bitch want?" Kali asked. She was certainly blunt.
                "Wanted me to give her another chance," Eric said with a clenched jaw. "I explained to her that the only reason she wanted another chance was because I was with another woman and had moved on and she couldn't deal with that."
                "And?" Brad asked.
                "Then I told her no, that I was with someone else, and I suggested she move on, too. Though honestly I thought she had since she’s been here every other week with a new guy."  A sly smile crossed his lips.
                Brad and Kali laughed. Amy didn't.
                Eric took her hands into his and caught her gaze. "Don't worry, I'm totally over her."
                Smiling Amy said, "I know." Though she wasn't completely sure. "Where's the ladies room?"
                Kali jumped up. "I'll go with you."
                Eric lifted an eyebrow.
                "What? I already know she's off limits and I'll keep all the Doms off of her." With a flourish, Kali stepped around the chairs and headed toward the toilets, Amy right behind her.
     
     
                Looking into the mirror with the garish overhead fluorescents, Amy thought she looked a bit exhausted.  She re-applied some face powder and fixed her hair and lip gloss.
