“I’ve been waiting for this my whole life and I’m so glad I get to be here with you two,” Maisy said, while squeezing tightly the two people who mattered the most to her.
“You’re on in thirty,” shouted Pete from the side.
They all separated, straightened out their clothes and then Kaid pulled each of them into a hug before they took the stage.
Butterflies floated throughout Maisy’s stomach as she waited to be called out on stage. She wasn’t nervous, more like excited to her core. This was finally happening and she couldn’t wait to show everyone who Twisted Perfection was.
While working on their set list, Grey told them they had to keep the one cover of “You Don’t Know Me” in their lineup because of the way they broke down the melody and really ripped apart the song to make it their own. Shattered Souls agreed that Twisted Perfection owned the song now, which surprised Maisy because she never thought Rook would give away one of his songs, especially to her.
Nothing came from the other night when she so brazenly kissed Rook on the lips. She didn’t know what had gotten into her; all she knew was that she hated herself for it because the feel of his lips on hers was imprinted in her mind. She tried to shake off the thoughts of Rook because she had more important things to worry about.
“Maisy, come on. Maisy, we’re on,” Kaid shouted to her, as he walked up the stage.
Maisy shook her head, adjusted her shorts and grabbed her guitar that was sitting on a stand. As she put the guitar over her shoulder, she saw a figure in the dark, watching her every move. She didn’t have to look any further to know it was Rook. She could feel him on her body when she was huddled up with Kaid and Willow. She could sense him when he thought he was being sly and out of the way; she knew better though.
She tossed her hair over her shoulder and walked up on stage. The lights were bright and provided a great deal of warmth, which was nice since she was wearing a skimpy outfit. The arena they were in was completely filled to the max with screaming Shattered Souls fans. Maisy had never seen so many hands flying in the air, girls screaming their heads off and cell phones pointed in her direction.
Maisy didn’t have time to think about the crowd in front of her because Kaid kicked their first song off with the beat of his drums. Maisy’s fingers started flying instinctively up and down her guitar. Before she knew it, she was singing into the old school microphone that was standing in front of her.
Their music ran through her ears, sending shivers up and down her spine, but nothing could affect her. Not the crowd, not the screams, not the gorgeous blue eyed man that was staring at her from the sidelines, nothing. She was in the zone. She lived for moments like this. And this was a moment she would never forget.
Their first song ended and the sound that filled the arena when their music stopped was full of cheers and clapping. Fans were going crazy for them and Maisy couldn’t hold back the smile that was creeping across her face.
“Thank you!” Maisy shouted into the mic. “We’re Twisted Perfection and we are so beyond excited to be here.”

Rook couldn’t take his eyes off her, no matter how much he begged himself to. He was glued to the side of the stage, watching their entire set list tick by, song by song. He was already dressed and ready to go for their concert, so he didn’t have to worry about getting ready; he could just enjoy the show.
The only time he was torn away from watching Twisted Perfection play was when he had to join the boys for the Meet and Greet with some of their most dedicated fans. Rook smiled and introduced himself to practically panting girls, shook their hands, signed some autographs and took pictures with them. By the time he was done, Twisted Perfection had two songs left.
Rook stood by the stage as he watched
