me! 'Cause if you do ... I swear to God I'ma catch a case," she yelled over the music, "and who the hell is this bitch eye-fuckin' me?"
"Bitch? Who the fuck are you talkin' to?" the girl snapped, stepping up to Mo.
"Whoa ... calm down lil' mama," Quan pushed her back.
"Mo, this my partna, man. We do business together." He tried to explain while the girl continued to mean-mug Mo.
"Yo' partna? So you really tryin' to be funny. Like Quan, for real now, don't play yo'self. You better get it together and let this chick know who the fuck I am 'cause I swear to God I will lay this bitch out she look at me crazy one more time!
    That's my word! "
Seeing that he'd gotten under her skin, Quan hung his head low and laughed. Mo was a wild girl even though she tried to act all lady-like and dignified. That was one of the things that he found most attractive about her. Mo was down for whatever, whenever.
"Deja, this my gal Mo I was tellin' you about."
"And you're tellin' me this because?" The girl rolled her neck.
"Yo, on the real, Quan, you need to wrap this conversation up quick before I slap this bitch in her mouth. Straight up," Mo announced, fed up with talking.
"I ain't gon' be too many more bitches!" Deja jumped in Mo's face.
"Look man, I'ma holla at you later a'ight, lil' mama," Quan said, calmly trying to defuse the situation.
"Yeah, whateva." Deja sucked her teeth and walked away.
"So what's up? What you want to talk about, lil' mama?" he said, turning to Mo.
"Are you fuckin' for real? Why you actin' all stupid and shit?"
"What you talkin' about? How am I actin'?"
"You know exactly how you're actin'! If I would've known you were gonna be like this I would've stayed home!"
"Ain't nothing wrong with me. I'm good. Is something wrong wit you?"
"No! I'm just tryin' to have fun! I'm tryin' to kick wit you but you actin' stupid!"
"Look, I don't know about you, but I'm good," Quan said, giving her a quick peck on the lips.
"You sure? 'Cause you ain't actin' like it?"
"Yeah." Then he thought about it. "You know what, I think I do need to talk to you about something."
    "What?"
    "Friendly relationships."
Puzzled, Mo looked up at him with a confused look on her face.
"What the hell are you talkin' about?"
"You'll find out," he replied with a menacing stare. "I think me and you should just be friends. But we'll talk about that later. Right now I just wanna kick it."
    "Excuse me?"
"I'm saying we gon' have a good time tonight but I can't say that once the night is over me and you will still be together."
Hurt beyond reason, tears welled up in Mo's eyes like an overflowing river. She couldn't believe what he'd just said to her. Choking back the tears, she yanked her arm away.
    "What's wrong wit you?"
"Why would you say something like that to me?" she yelled.
"Say what to you? Yo' ass is fuckin crazy! I didn't even do nothing to you!"
    "Yes you did!"
"What I do?" Quan played dumb. He was trying to make Mo feel like she was losing her mind. His plan was working.
"You just sat up there and threatened to break up with me!" Mo flung her hand around wildly.
"Baby ... no I didn't." Quan laughed, trying to calm her down.
"Then why did you say 'let's kick it tonight but once the night ends I don't know if me and you will be together?'"
"See, there you go! You think too fuckin' much. I coulda been talkin' about we gon' leave in separate cars! Hell, I could've had a surprise for you! But you know what, maybe you are right ... maybe us breaking up is something I need to think about!"
    "Say that again!"
"Look, I'm gon' talk about this wit you later. If I get a chance to, that is."
"No, let's talk about it right now!"
"A'ight, since you wanna take it there. Why that nigga Tez still callin' you?"
    "You still on that shit?!"
"You damn right I am 'cause I know yo' ass is lying!"
"Look, I'm tired of arguing wit you about this. You already tried to kill me this morning! What the fuck else do you want?
    I'm sick of this shit!
