then lifted his weight partially off her. “Sorry. Are you okay?” Moving a lock of hair off her forehead, he met her eyes, pleased to see nothing but happiness shining back at him.
“That was amazing,” Alice whispered, still reeling from the small pulses of pleasure moving through her body.
Bryant pushed himself into her once more. He dropped a kiss on her nose and withdrew, leaving their sweat-covered bodies to discern that there actually was a slight chill in the air. “Let me go warm the water up in the shower. I’ll be right back.”
Alice smiled and watched him head down the hallway. When he returned for her to carry her easily to the shower, she found it second nature to lay her head against his shoulder and be cared for by him. She didn’t know where their future was headed, but she had decided not to let it matter. She was fully committed to living in the here and now. The future would take care of itself.

Chapter 23
Bryant and Alice spent two blissful days at the cabin, pleasuring each other’s bodies and enjoying each other’s minds. Bryant had discovered her desire to use martial arts to help teens recover from tragic circumstances, and he was amazed at how closely her desire to help kids aligned with his and his brothers’ mission for the family martial arts school.
Ultimately he had to ask the unavoidable question. “So, you’re heading back to college?” He played with her fingers as they sat on the couch watching the fire burn down.
Alice shook her head. “Well, actually, I talked to the graduate studies program, and they’ve agreed to let me do most of my coursework online. I’ll have to make monthly trips to Portland to meet with my advisors, but still, I should be able to complete my masters in three semesters that way.”
“So you’d have time to spend with your father?”
“Or elsewhere,” she offered, leaving other destinations up to his imagination.
“Ever think of living in Utah?” he asked. He dropped a kiss in her palms. When he felt her shiver in reaction, he chuckled and lowered his head to nuzzle beneath her ear. Her responsiveness was addicting to him. He couldn’t get enough of her.
    “Maybe. It depends.”
    “On what?”
“On whether or not you’ll be there.”
“Oh, I can guarantee you I’ll be there.” Bryant planned on spending as much time as he could with her. “I hear Mason and Tavvy are taking the new kid up to Oregon to train for a while.”
“Dad will like that. I think he’s missed having Tavvy to argue with these last two weeks. They both think they know everything.”
Bryant chuckled, having seen that side of Tavvy himself several times in the last few weeks. “Well, I think maybe we should see how things go here for a while. Mason can work with the teens up there, and Beck, you, and I can keep the school going in the meantime. What do you think?”
“That sounds good. It sounds really good.” Alice shared a smile with him and then a passionate kiss. It wasn’t long before they were trading touches and probing kisses yet again. The chemistry between them hadn’t lessened at all, instead, a bond had begun to form between them and Alice couldn’t wait to see where it led. He was her fight-boy, and she was determined to make sure he never had to keep his guard up against her again.

Catch Mason’s Story Next in the “Burton Brothers Series”
Mason cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled, “Control, Dustin. When are you going to learn some control?”
The kid had natural talent, but was all in his ground game. His standup skills sucked. Mason winced as Dustin took a hit from Beck. He and Beck had padded up the kid as much as possible, and Mason could see his brother pulling back. But it was clear Dustin was going to have to learn the hard way.
