spill out of the top.  No way to wear a bra with this dress!  The V of the neckline was so low; the sides of her breasts were visible.  She felt like she was indecent, but she suspected that, if Saeger had any desire for her, this dress would do the trick.
The stranger who had threatened her and Matt might be disgusting, but he knew his seduction tactics.
She started to grab her bag, but then pulled her nice, wool coat down from the hanger.  She didn’t want any of her neighbors to see her in this dress.  It was almost obscene!  The coat might be a bit too warm for this time of the year, but it covered her more thoroughly than the dress did.  Good grief, a handkerchief would probably cover more of her figure than this dress did!
She sat in her car and stared at her keys, wondering if she was making the right decision.  But really, was she making a decision?  Or was she leaving it up to Saeger?  If he saw her in this dress, he most definitely wouldn’t fall down at her feet with lust.  As much as she’d love for that to happen, that wasn’t really Saeger’s modus operandi.  But then again, she had no idea what the man was like when he was making love to a woman.  Even the thought of him with another woman made her want to open the door and throw up.  She hated the idea of Saeger with another woman, but if she went through with this, if she did what that stranger had told her to do, she’d never be with Saeger again.  This would end any possible relationship.
She’d have to leave town as well.  Okay, so maybe she’d be hauled out of town in handcuffs anyway.  What did she know about corporate espionage?  She was a novice at this whole stealing-thing.  Jeez, she was a novice at this seduction thing too.
“Oh, just do it!” she told herself, and reached for her keys, starting the engine before she lost the will to go through with this.
But just as she was about to put her Jeep in reverse, she shook her head and turned off the engine.  She couldn’t do this!   She couldn’t cheat Saeger out of something his company had created!
What choice did she have?  Wasn’t Matt’s life more important than some silly invention?
Leaning her head back against the torn leather seat, she took several deep breaths, then leaned forward and started the engine again.
This time, she forced herself to back out of the parking space and drive up the mountain road that led to Saeger’s retreat.  She’d never been here before.  The road was well maintained and looked barely used.  Of course, the only person to travel this road would be Saeger.  And maybe Tucker, Knox, or Creek but she’d heard that there were different ways they visited each other.  What those ways were, she had no idea.  Probably some secret tunnel that they’d dug to connect their houses.
Stepping out of her truck, she clutched her bag to her stomach and stared, not sure if she should walk forward towards the front door or run away and hide somewhere.  Her instincts were to run as fast as she could, but Matt’s smiling face when he’d hugged her goodbye popped into her mind.  And then she remembered how Saeger’s arms felt when they were holding her, his fingers sliding against her skin and she took a deep, slow breath.
Looking down at herself, she wondered if she looked okay.  Her hair was curled, she was wearing a crazy outfit, and she’d even put on a bit of perfume.  All for a good cause, right?  She’d told herself that she was doing the right thing.  She’d chanted that to herself the whole drive up.  But did she believe it?
    Not really.
These horrible shoes were pinching her toes, and she thought how satisfying it would be to fling them into the woods and never see them again.  But as she looked down at herself, she realized that her coat was still covering her dress, obscuring its impact.  This dress was supposed to be her entrée into his house.  Unfortunately, she couldn’t wear the
