room?

No. He’d just been making sure she knew where the bathroom was. Right? But this door was closed, which made her wonder. She hesitated, almost reaching for the knob.

    “Abby.”

She jumped and jerked her hand back. She grabbed the lapels of the robe and held them tight around her. Mark was smiling at her. “Snooping?”

“No!” she snapped, but she could feel her face turning red.

“It’s alright. You want to know what’s in there?”

“No. Yes. No.” She sighed. “Do I?” she finally asked.

“Probably not. That’s my torture chamber.”

Abby gasped and Mark came toward her. He grasped her shoulder, turned her around and reached for the doorknob.

    “No! I wasn’t snooping! I-”

The door swung open and Abby’s wave of hysteria abruptly turned into a fit of giggles. There was a treadmill, a weight bench, a balance ball, and a rack of free weights against the wall.

    Torture chamber.

“I prefer to work out at home rather than the gym.” He left the door open and took her hand, pulling her to the bedroom. “Come on. The look on your face was priceless.”

    CHAPTER NINE

“You’re evil,” she accused with a smirk. Still smarting over the workout room scare.

“Nope. I swear only to use my powers for good.”

His lips came down on hers. It was a hot, demanding kiss that had her thighs quivering. He ran his hands through her hair and over her flushed cheeks. Fingertips grazed both sides of her neck causing her to shiver. He slipped a hand inside the robe and cupped her breast. His thumb rasped over her nipple and she clutched his biceps.

Mark had already taken off his shirt was wearing only his jeans. He tugged at the robe’s tie and it fell open. He pulled her closer, pressing her bared chest to his. He slid the robe off over her shoulders and let it fall to the floor.

“Abby,” he whispered against her mouth. “You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to do this.”

He pushed her back slowly to the bed and placed on hand on the back of her head and the other arm wrapped around her waist. He laid her down on the soft sheets. He kissed her senseless, nuzzling her neck and nipping at her shoulder. She was almost drowning in him when she felt him thread his fingers through hers, palm to palm. He drew her right hand up, above her head, toward the headboard. She tensed.

“Shhh,” he told her. “It’s okay, Abby. Everything’s fine. Just relax.”

He took her mouth with his again and she heard the soft click of the cuff being locked at the end of the chain. He quickly secured her other wrist. Abby’s breath started coming faster. He put a hand under her chin and directed her gaze to his. “Abby, listen to me. Breathe. Just breathe, baby. Breathe in and count to three.” Abby took a deep breath, counting in her head. “That’s good. And let it out, counting to three. If you control your breathing, you control your heart rate. And if you control both of those, you can’t panic. Look into my eyes. Nowhere else.”

Abby breathed in and out, counting slowly and looking right at Mark.

“That’s my good girl,” he told her. He kissed her again, this time running a hand along the inside of her thigh. She instinctively spread her legs a little.

“There you go,” he told her. “Spread for me, Abby. Let me touch your pussy.”

Abby spread her legs wider and Mark rubbed her slit. Abby writhed underneath his fingers. Mark took his hand away and stood up. She watched in fascination as he unbuttoned his jeans and slid the zipper down. When he’d taken her at her condo, she hadn’t seen him. She’d felt that he was large, but she was still surprised when he slid his jeans and boxer briefs down revealing a long, thick shaft that even now in its half-hard state was impressive.

When he caught her staring, she turned her gaze away. “You’re allowed
