she whipped her wand out, pointing it at the pile of wood. “ Dóiteáin ,” she muttered. An orange flame shot from the tip and rekindled the flame.
Her thoughts were whirling through her head. Her plan for Suvi’s mate to be executed had failed and she had no doubt those pretentious witches were planning a mating at that very moment. She had trusted that Angelica would stick to their plan of weakening the witches, so she’d given her the location of their home, but that ungrateful sorceress had used the opportunity for another attempt at her endgame. Of course, Angelica had failed because she’d gone in half-cocked and allowed her emotions to dictate her actions.
Cele had told her to eliminate one of the Rowan sisters’ mates. She didn’t even have to target Caine. At this point, any of the males would do. The point was to weaken the sisters and force them to relinquish their power to her. Had she done her part, Cele would have ensured Angelica had her sorcerer, as well as, the Mystik Grimoire. Now, the Rowans had probably linked the final couple, reinforcing their defenses.
A red haze covered her vision when she thought about how those triplets had thwarted her and now had possession of her beloved daughter. She didn’t care that they had the vampire. She had made sure that any foray into his mind would kill him. Otherwise, she was going to have to deal with him sooner or later. What had her blood boiling and losing sight of reason was that they had Claire, and Goddess only knew what they were doing to her.
There wouldn’t be anywhere those triplets could hide if they decided to cremate her daughter. That was the only state the demon told her from which her daughter couldn’t return. She needed to get her back so the demon could fulfill his end of the bargain and return her to the living. Having Claire back had become as important as garnering the Rowan sisters’ powers.
Now, all she had to do was get into Zeum and steal the amulet and her daughter. Once she had Claire back, together they would find a way to get the power of three for their own. She silently cursed losing the vampire so soon. He may have disclosed the location of Zeum, but she had no idea what type of protections and security they had in place. No doubt it was extensive, involving every type of magic the realm had to offer. She’d approach the compound at night when most of the warriors were out on patrol.
A thought struck her. If Zander and the Dark Warriors were at the Rowan’s party then they could be working together and were likely out searching for her and Angelica. She could use that, lay a false trail. If she made a golem using her hair and blood, she could lure the Vampire King and most of the others away from Zeum, providing the best opportunity. She wondered if she should ask Angelica for the assistance of her subjects since Cele had alienated everyone at the academy.
She stopped her pacing, satisfied that her plan would work. Even without Angelica’s help, she had everything she needed to get that amulet and her daughter. She was the most powerful witch ever created, and she had been brave enough to welcome the forbidden power, making her magic unbeatable. She turned and another wave of her wand had a glowing sphere floating before her, lighting her way out of the cave. Increasing her footsteps, she was glad to put the cavern behind and with each step she became more excited. Soon she would have the amulet and her daughter, and no one would stop Kadir from bringing Claire back from the dead.

Caine followed his mate down the hall as she headed to the back of their house. His gaze was riveted to her firm ass as it swayed provocatively before him. It had only been minutes since he had last had her, but he needed her again. The memory of how she had ridden him had a groan escaping his throat.
“I know, baby. We need to plan our ceremony with my sisters and then we can escape again. We have to get mated on the
